"Very good and modern hotel in the city center"
There is nothing to complain about: The hotel Radisson in the city center is really very modern. The rooms are comfortable and very bright. Unfortunately the Minibar is located at the lobby and not anymore in the room. On the other side there is a much larger variety available. Overall i missed a spa area like sauna / pool. On the other side there is a good restaurant and breakfast is really perfekt. Overall I can recommend to stay there.
"Good hotel except for the internet"
I had a nice stay in this hotel. All facilities available, room with a nice view on August platz, room was big, clean, great shower. One small remark is in case you have to use the toilet in the night you only have to put all lights on than you are completely awake :). Bed room light is not sufficient because toilet is in a corridor. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good especially due to fresh orange Juice. Internet was outsourced to my cloud. This is shamefully and Radisson unworthy. In a 4 star hotel it is expected that internet is free and has an exeptable speed. It was free but speed was 0.5 mb (equal to telephone modem in the 90's. For faster you had to pay.
"Big room and great location "
This was a great room with lots of space as close to the main square. You can walk from the main station if you want but can also tram it which is a whole lot easier obviously if you have luggage. There are two speeds of wifi, if you're just doing the usual browsing it's fine. Opted not to have breakfast so can't comment on that. There is a bar there which I went to later on the first night but the service was terrible. There were several other tables waiting longer than we had been and so we eventually left. Otherwise no issues!
Leipzig is a busy town even in the middle of November. It was so busy in fact we had few hotel options so was force to book a junior suite at the Radisson. The room had acres of space in a hotel that couldn’t have been better located, close to the train station as well as the main center of town, so close to the main train station we were able to walk the short distance even with our cases. The hotel staff were professional and friendly as we checked in all the information we needed about the hotel and the town was offered. As I mentioned above, the Junior suite had masses of space. There was a desk area with a chair, two more chairs and a sofa in a seating area then the bed with a TV on a mount that swiveled between the sofa and the bed. The bathroom was well equipped with all necessaries but the shower/bath combo sent more water on to the floor than it did down the drain. Hotels have got to figure out a way to keep bathroom floors dry. The inclusive breakfast was an extensive sprawl of a buffet with almost everything you could want including a crate of fresh oranges you can squeeze yourself, all sorts of pastries, cereals, jams, honey, pastries, breads, eggs, cold meats and cooked meats, juices and fresh coffee in pots served at the table rather than from one of those ubiquitous machines.
The visit and stay were lovely. Service excellent. Only problem was internet in the rooms. Otherwise excellent. The help from staff was impeccacble. The location central. Breakfast was first class. Room cleanliness and service were top class. Would reccomend to everyone
