"Highly Priced- Well positioned, Medoicre for the price"
Its a bit souless this place. I booked a standard room which was ok if poorly lit (makes you wonder what they want to hide!) and the thing that really annoyed me was that the fridge was not filled, or even connected (They had removed he plug) this was inconvenient for me as I like to keep medication chilled during my hotel stays, hence why I book hotels with a fridge. Bed and curtains ok, view over a dirty back street of liverpool. Having eaten here before and had poor service and poor quality food, I elected to go out and I even took my own breakfast - look at my review for San Carlos! There was a variation in water temperature during my use of the shower, which is unacceptable in a hotel of this standard. The hotel has 8 floors, and only two lifts. The lifts can only be operated with your room key, something that had not been explained to many japanese guests who spent much of their time traveling from floor to floor without realsing the requirement for the key. clearly this had no been explained to them and meant the lifts were often unavailable to the rest of us, a point noted by many frustrated guests. Its a choice I suppose, bu I imagine there are much nicer hotels locally for the cost.
Stayed here last weekend with one of my friends. Really fancy and clean hotel. Bedroom were lovely bed extremely soft and black out curtains. Telly wasn't great but didn't bother us. Nice size bathroom . Looking already at staying here again. In walking distance of Liverpool docks and shopping, taxis are cheap to get too.
Arrived late at night having phoned ahead and been reassured there was no problem only to be bumped on arrival. Booking was for two nights, and the "duty bumper" expected me to come back the next night from the the decanted to Crowne Plaza, which I refused since I had been hassled enough. This took four calls the next morning to have confirmed , almost making me late. No amount of subsequent apologies makes up for woeful customer service.
Super hotel with friendly staff. Check in was easy and they stored our luggage whilst we explored Liverpool. Our business room was very comfortable and clean. Great shower and nice toiletries. Central location about 10 minutes from the Albert Dock and shopping area. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice.
"Fabulous Hotel will definitely revisit "
I recently stopped here for a Hen Weekend, there was 9 of us girls. We had 3 twin rooms on the 2nd floor and a twin and double room conjoined on the 4th floor. The joined rooms on the 4th floor were brilliant, we had the door open all the time and it was like we had a super large room with 2 bathrooms, great for the 3 of us, especially when getting ready. Our room was very Clean, tidy with plenty of space. Beds & pillows both comfortable. The check in at reception was very easy. I had booked the hotel through a Hen Party agency so I was a little nervous what we were going to get. I was pleasantly surprised, I've stayed in lots of hotels over the years and this is definitely high up on my list to revisit. I checked all 9 of us in, while the girls were being looked after at the bar with a 25% discount voucher. Reception staff were always helpful and friendly and constantly went out of the way to book taxis etc. for us. We did not sample any room service or the spa so I am unable to comment on that. The bar staff in the lobby was very friendly and always around to help, day or night. Great variety at breakfast although we only made it down the once, everything warm, plenty of choice from hot breakfast to continental, and the staff was constantly refilling. I am like ok if to revisit Liverpool and this is definitely where I will be staying. Great hotel 5⭐️
