"One of the best in liverpool"
Stayed with husband at Christmas in a business class room which was very nice. Bed very comfy and lovely sheets. Had all the amenities that you would want in a 4* hotel. Breakfast was good but not amazing as they had ran out of stuff and had to wait for more food to be cooked.
"High hopes in a 4* hotel"
We chose this hotel as we have stayed in many hotels and Radisson Blu is definitely one of our favourites- well up until this stay. The swimming pool and spa facilities were lovely and our room seemed clean and tidy until we went to get into bed! When I found a dirty pair of pants in our bed. Is was horrifying! The staff did give us another room and after going back again in the morning as I still wasn't happy we received one night free out of the two.
Very disappointed with this hotel. The room was nice and clean but unfortunately not a lot else good to say. The shower blasts you with freezing water every few mins, no hairdryer in the room and the minibar was empty not even any water in the rooms. The breakfast was cold not very good, I just had fruit and yoghurt on the second day. The most disappointing was the pool and spa the lady behind the desk didn't even acknowledge us just pointed at the sign in sheet, we had to find the towels and way around ourselves, you can't lock the lockers without a padlock so not very safe at all, and then the jacuzzi was freezing!! Such a shame. It also costs £25 per day to park in their car park but other car parks just around the corner are much cheaper for 24hrs so don't get sucked in to paying that!
"Loud, too hot, and terrible internet!"
I am 2 nights into a 4 night stay and I can not bare this hotel any longer. Firstly my biggest bug bear is the air con system..... it is old, extremely loud and ineffective. I've had to shut mine off due to the fact it sounds like a plane taking off every time it kicks in...... the only problem now is the room is too hot to sleep and I'm still being kept awake by the air con in the room next door! The second major issue is the so called "high speed internet"! The speed is so slow it is difficult to surf the web, never mind stream off Netflicks or sky go. This is made all the worse by the fact that mobile signal is very weak in the hotel for both my personal phone (3 network) and my work phone (EE), and therefore unable to use data! If only I could rely on the TV in the room, which is about 10 years old and no larger than 20 inch in size! 4 stars..... I think not! I travel a lot with work, and this is the worst experience I've had in the past 5 years hand down! Reading previous reviews going back 8 months and the same issues are still outstanding...... the mini fridges are empty and switched off, there is black mould in the bathrooms, etc, etc! Room service took 58 minutes to arrive. The good bits are location, the gym and the bed size, everything else needs a refresh or maintenance. I will be checking out two days early in the morning and requesting those days refunded although I won't hold my breath!! Maybe I'll be surprised!
"Super hotel with great service"
Such a super stay at this well located, good value for money hotel. The staff made sure we were well looked after, even cordoning off a quiet part of the bar to allow us to have dinner as restaurant was full. Will return for sure!!
