"Comfortable accommodation with excellent location for museum visits"
For visits to either the Museo del Prado or Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, it's hard to imagine a better location than the Radisson Blu Hotel, Madrid Prado. The hotel is nestled between buildings, offering a buffer to the noise of the nearby street, and offers easy access for taxis from the main road. I booked a standard room and received an upgrade to a superior room. The hotel staff could've done better for a Concierge Elite member with the complimentary upgrade. The room features sufficient space for luggage storage and working area, and has a large bathroom. I found the staff to be pleasant and agreeable, particularly at the breakfast offering. When my stay had to be cut short by a day because of an urgent issue, the hotel staff easily made accommodations for my schedule, with fast check-out and transportation to Barajas airport.
"Quite a good hotel"
very nice hotel, staff good and pool and spa are fantastic, food is great. Located in a nice area in the city centre. near loads of great attractions for all ages! I definately recommend this hotel! A must go to
"Convenient. Disappointing. "
The hotel was quite conveniently located across the street from the Prado museum. The lobby was underwhelming and the rooms were small. Breakfast was good but not worth the price. Overall, fine choice, but we don't plan to return.
I had the fantastic opportunity to experience a night in the sumptuous Radisson Blue Hotel in Madrid and I wish I had stayed longer. I highly recommend the Radisson not only for the location (so close to the Prado) and the variety of facilities (Spa, Swimming pool, Fitness) that will help you to relax after a whole day of walks and visits, but also for the different touches that you will find everywhere, at the front desk, in your room, at the Breakfast-buffet, etc. All these little attentions will make your stay fabulous and make you want to go back.
"Great location for art lovers & foodies"
Fantastic location, perfect for a city break as everything is within walking distance (only 5 minutes walk to each of the three most important museums: Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofia). Although in the midst of restaurants, bars and night life, the hotel was very quiet. Helpful and friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, good shower and plenty of toiletries (shower gel, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner, all by This Works), shower cap, slippers, bathrobe, hair dryer, kettle, fridge (well stocked up mini bar) and, the most important thing for me, Nespresso machine. The selection of herbal teas could have been better - they only had chamomile and English breakfast tea. I do like the hotel's green environmental policy, but it took me two days to find the main light switch in the room. In the mornings I was always the only one in the fitness/swimming pool area. The pool is tiny and more for relaxation rather than exercise, but pleasant nevertheless. Lemon water in the hotel foyer is a nice touch. I will definitely be back.
