"Worst stay ever"
I waited to write this review to give my daughter time to get a refund for erroneous hotel billing. I'm not sure if she ever received the refund, but 5 months have passed since our stay. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. We reserved 2 rooms: one large room to sleep 3 adults (my husband, my son, and myself) and a second room for my daughter and granddaughter. We expected to see a cot or rollaway bed in our room, but there were none. Instead, there was a queen size bed with a hard wooden section attached to the mattress that was impossible to sleep on. Since we arrived so late in the evening and needed to check out early for a flight out, we decided to just shower and catch a quick nap before leaving. The bathroom shower was horrible. Water sprayed everywhere because the glass barrier was too narrow. When we went to the lobby to check out, there was no one at the desk so I waited for the rest of my party in a sunken area of the lobby. My husband tripped and fell down the stairs to the sunken area, but there were no staff in the lobby to check on him. After 5 or 10 minutes, a clerk appeared, and I notified him of the fall. We found the night staff to be condescending and extremely lax in their duties. Also, this hotel is very hard to find at night, and the uber driver got lost. The ONLY nice thing I can say about this hotel is the lobby area is very attractive.
"I hate to be negative but...."
First, let me say there are two things I enjoyed at this hotel. First, the staff. They could not have been more helpful and truly kind people. They could not help that their manager ran this hotel like an 80s nightmare. Secondly, the food. The restaurant was wonderful and the food sensational. Also the breakfast buffet was superb. That being said, this hotel needs an upgrade from the first floor up. It would take years. I was moved twice so I could get a room with air-conditioning. And you can forget getting wifi in your room. Not going to happen. You have to sit in the lobby to get any kind of internet. The carpeting is old and dirty and smells. The rooms smell moldy. The bed was comfy but nothing in the shower worked except the on and off. The TV could only get a few french channels and an Italian channel. That wouldn't have offended me but I had just stayed at another hotel a few days before and they got EVERY channel from England, Germany and CNN. So. Sorry to be so negative. You can do better than this hotel anyway.
"Three small words made my stay"
This hotel is probably the oldest of the hotels in Le Mesnil-Amelot, next to CDG airport. Though certain areas show signs of age, some positive face lifts have been done such as the bathroom and shower area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I arrived at around 09.00 in the morning after an overnight flight and was very tired. I asked if I could take the room immediately instead of waiting until the normal 14.00. The answer was: "yes you can". The shuttle buses were not of latest edition, but the drivers were good, friendly and on time. Overall a nice stay for me.
"Not so great."
No wifi information provided at check in and connection was not great. Room was a bit run down, TV didn't work, they eventually moved us. When we asked about Breakfast availability, we were simply told it was not included in our booking, staff did not indicate whether breakfast could be purchased. Minimum level of service - in stark contrast to the very helpful staff at all our other hotels. This hotel was booked for us based on availability of airport shuttle, which we did use and was useful.. but we would probably try a different hotel if we return to this vicinity.
"Worst Hotel Ever ... Avoid at all costs"
This is the worst hotel I had ever been to. From a last minute booking for an urgent client meeting in Paris , I thought a Radisson Blu is a safe bet. Man was I wrong ... This hotel has changed its name to Paris Roissy, and it starts with a difficult process of finding the hotel. The lobby has a very poor atmosphere with an empty bar and empty restaurant. Well that's not a big deal right so I went up to my room. In the room the television was not connected to show channels. Just when I went about to go to bed, I opened the blanket and found pubic hair remains in the blanket. As disgusted as I became I tried the second queen bed, and the same black curly pubic hair remains!!! Given it was 1 am and I had to step out in 5 hrs, I decided to sleep on top of the blankets with my clothes as a protection ... Having the worst night ever, upon checkout , I was surprised to see on my bill a Dinner of someone that has signed the bill to my room and literally wrote my name... I refused to pay this and in the end we sorted it out... In short, avoid at all costs, even if there is no hotel go sleep in the airport lobby...
