"No fuss hotel"
We stay in this hotel in Feb to visit a show in Cologne and so it's quiet this time of year. The media Harbour is packed in summer so this hotel is in an excellent spot. The rooms are well appointed and everything runs very efficiently.
"Great hotel, fantastic staff in a trendy area!"
We did stay here for the 8th time and it is still a fabulous hotel. Spacious rooms, amazing walk-in rain shower and an excellent organic breakfast. It's only a 15 minutes walk to the Shopping area and all trendy bars and restaurants are in a range of 500 meter around the hotel. The reception staff is very helpful and do their utmost to make you feel at home. Thank you Hoda and team for the great time and we definitively come back!
Went for a short break with friends, when we arrived the twin room only had one set of bedding and the toilet had clearly been used. Reception quickly dealt with this. The location of the hotel in the media harbour is great and with a lovely 20 minute walk into town it helps to wake you up and get some air. The bars and restaurants close by are great with friendly staff.
"Nice comfortable room"
This hotel had a very nice room, but there were a couple things about the place that caused some annoyance. First annoyance: the parking was very difficult to find. There is a tiny little opening in the building in the back alley that you are supposed to drive into. There is a sign that says Hotel Parking, but it was still difficult to find, because the garage door is several feet back from the opening and there were hotel restaurant employees standing in front of it smoking, making the opening not look like a garage at all. But if you've read this, you'll hopefully find it no problem and it won't be annoying for you at all. Second annoyance: there were no power outlets by the bed, meaning you can't charge your devices at the night stand. Also means, no using your phone as an alarm clock, unless you don't mind having it on the other side of the room. Other than that, though, the staff was incredibly nice, the bathroom was very large and very swanky, and the Wi-Fi was incredibly reliable and quite fast. The location is pretty good, too, though the main shopping/bar district is a little bit of a long walk away, but totally doable if you don't mind walking and seeing the other sites along the way.
"Work trip in Duesseldorf."
Like many other reviews has stated this hotel is in a really good location. You are far enough out of "Old Town" but close enough to take a quick cab ride. The rooms were nice and contemporary. The staff was great and spoke English very well. I only had the breakfast buffet and it was incredible. The spread they put in is high-quality and delicious. My mouth still waters for their sage sausage links. It is expensive, but worth doing at least once. Otherwise, there is a great bakery down the road with delicious pastries and coffee. The hotel is close to the train and many wonderful resturants both German and other types of food. One note: I have also stayed at the Marriott Courtyard directly behind the Radisson (quick foot-bridge walk across the harbor). The hotel can be half the price at times. The food isn't all the good and the rooms are a little less contemporary but you are still really close to all the things I have listed above, so it is worth it. Staff is wonderful and it is worth staying there over the Radisson if the price is a big enough distance. I have been to Dusseldorf many times and love it. Enjoy!
