"History with a modern twist"
The Old sandstone building is beautifully converted into a luxury hotel. The most comfortable hotel beds on the planet, free wifi in your room. Luxury bathroom, love the window to the bedroom so I can watch TV from the bath. So cool. The Lady Fairfax restaurant for breakfast was lovely every morning. Free newspaper every morning. I chose the Sydney Morning Herald, had to as this building was where the SMH started life. How could I not. Close to everything in the city. One tiny issue is the parking price, still it's valet parking in the CBD, but I still love staying here. The staff are so lovely, very helpful, nothing is a problem. I'll be back again.
"One night stay."
Really enjoyed staying here. The location was fantastic. Close to Circular Quay, the Sydney CBD, Opera House, and so many other iconic landmarks that are a must see in Sydney. The staff at the Radisson Blu were extremely helpful and polite.
Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights on business. Staff were very attentive, polite and kind. Breakfast was well, well worth it. I stayed in a business class bedroom which i felt lacked somewhat in character that the other rooms had. It more than 'did the job' but from a building as old as this, it would have been nice to have had some of that warmth.
"Great place to stay!"
I would give this hotel and its staff two thumbs up! I love the rooms and is one of the only hotels i have a great night sleep. I do travel a faire bit so getting a hassle free expirance with friendly staff is a great thing!
"Oasis of Calm"
The hotel is situated in a bustling business district which means it has GREAT access to public transit. Also, there are a lot of "quick eat" places nearby which is beneficial for a traveler's budget and an executive's schedule. Although we were there as tourists versus business reasons, this hotel fits the bill for both. Its restaurant and bar looked active with the professional set; we didn't try either and can only judge based on its consistent occupancy. The hotel staff was quite helpful and might I say, happy! All smiles at this establishment. Maybe it's due to the calming decor. We found the design to be contemporary, polished, and a great respite from our busy days in Sydney. Our room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. For an older hotel, it disguises itself well as a modern one! Just blocks from the Blu is the famous Circular Quay, premier shopping on Pitt Street, as well as historical parks and top notch museums. Location is one of its biggest assets. Yes, I hope to visit Sydney again and yes, I will choose the Radisson Blu again.
