"A Very Special Hotel in A Lovely Location"
Just back from spending a promotion week at the Radisson Blu, Golden Sands Malta. Unlike other reviews I have read my husband and I really enjoyed our holiday. We paid extra to upgrade to a seaview room which was worth every penny. Lovely view over the pool and beach. We were on the 8th floor (I had requested a high floor) and it was perfect. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. (apart from the double sized pillows on the beds!!). I found the staff very polite and welcoming, there was no stigma to being there on a promotion week at all. We had our breakfast every morning at Flavours were there was an excellent choice of food. We ate at Agliolio's Italian Restaurant three times. Again there was a good variety of food at a reasonable price and friendly staff. We had an excellent meal at the Windmill in Mellieha. The restaurant picked us up and dropped us back to the hotel free of charge. The food here was more expensive but was delicious so again well worth the money. After dinner we spent an hour or two on the terrace of the Mokka Bar were there was usual a vocalist to entertain us. The hotel location is a little isolated but there are quite a few inexpensive options to get around so that isn't a problem and it was actually quite nice to get back to the hotel and leave all the hustle & bustle behind. Our 'Sales Pitch' was taken by Paul Noad, he had a nice friendly personality. It lasted 3 - 4 hours. Paul explained how everthing worked in great detail and we didn't feel under any pressure to buy at any point. Paul contacted on our first morning to introduce himself and check that everything was okay. He gave us lots of tips for places to see, restaurants etc. When we decided not to purchase anything it wasn't a problem (I wish we could have afforded it) so if you are offered a similar opportunity I'd say Lucky You - Go For It.
"Wonderful yet again "
This is our third time at this hotel and, as before, we are sad to be leaving. We had a lovely holiday with our two boys and baby daughter. The boys loved the pools and the staff, especially the cleaners, were so sweet towards them. We were made to feel welcome everywhere we went, which isnt always the case with a baby. The hotel itself was spotless and staff were always friendly and helpful. We ate in Agliolio a couple of times and the food was delicious. Katerina was exceptional when serving us there- friendly, welcoming and professional. For us the location is great. Its away from the noisy towns but has fantastic views. If you rent a car, its easy to explore the island, nothing is particularly far away. We cant wait to come back again and will be recommending this place to others.
Stayed 11th to 18th October . Check in was quick and we got a lovely sea view room. Breakfast was good but as usual no fresh orange juice. We ate at Agliolios at night which was fine but lunched in Munchies across from hotel and paid third of hotel prices. Lovely quiet pool area with no intrusive music except for aqua aerobics one hour each day. The hotel beach area was claustrophobic so it was always nicer to stay at pool area and take a dip in the sea later in the afternoon. Not much to see snorkelling.
Excellent Hotel Value, great service, wonderful staff particularly Henri who is the Guest co-ordinator ( a thorough gentleman and knowledgeable asset to the hotel. Also our Room attendant Gemma who provided an excellent room service during our holiday and looked after us and the room very well.
"my stay at radisson blu malta"
I returned to the radisson blu golden bay malta for the 3rd time with my wife. The hotel is great, the staff friendly and polite, F&B facilities are excellent with a good range of food. The location is perfect although a car or taxi is required to access the resort
