"young but classy"
its clean, well maintained with that chic yet youthful vibe to it and the breakfast buffet with all the gluten free options is great - they could make glutenfree waffles but the rooms are spacious with great service worth the price
"Perfect Stay-Over in Stockholm Center"
I travel to a slightly remote Swedish town once a month and make the trip a little less stressful with stay-overs in Stockholm. Arriving in Stockholm late Monday/Thursday and continuing/flying home early the next morning, the Royal Viking is the perfect place, if you still want to hit the city. Overall the hotel is just normal and you get what you expect for what you pay. There are, however, two aspects worth mentioning: Firstly, the location: Being located right at the central station you don't necessarily have to use the metro to start the night. With the Arlanda Express next door, it takes you 20 minutes (25 if you count the checkout) from your room to all international flights. Second, the breakfast: It's a pity I usually take it in a hurry, while it would be worth spending some more time. While scrambled egg and co are standard, you will also find smoked salmon, pancakes and food that caters for all special dietary needs.
Excellent place to stay for my 50th birthday. Got a free upgrade on the room to a junior suite along of a small gift as well. We were on the 8th floor so nice & peaceful except the odd occasion of children running down the corridor. Good central location 1minute walk from train station that links the airport which takes 20mins & costs approx £50 return per person. Shopping 5min walk & most other places also not far. Skybar in hotel great views busy on a Fri & Sat night also alcohol very expensive about 20% more on average than UK
"Pricey but Ok"
A cozy place, amazing bed sheet, there is a useful small fridge and great coffee options. About the breakfast' grade 9. maybe more identification plates describing flavour in english.. you know, in a Scandinavian country it's difficult to know foods' names. About cost-benefit rate, I think it could be better, so expensive..maybe you pay for a great localization. A tip: we should be informed about an entrance that closes early by receptionist. I got lost and the residents didn't know about this entrance (even though it was described on door)
"Is it 4 or 5 star hotel."
Stayed here with wife 2 nights to celebrate a birthday end January 2017. Have a hard time to find out if this is a 4 or 5 star hotel, but it certainly a very nice hotel. A bit small room, but very nice and quiet and you have everything you need and more. Never heard a pip from outside or between the rooms. Beautiful nice and comfortable beds and super modern in everything. Got excellent service from the people at the front desk. Enjoyed every minute of it. Free and fast Wi-Fi every where. Price to me was mid-range to luxury. The hotel has a great bar downstairs and restaurant and a Sky Bay on 9th floor whit great views over Stockholm. Here is where I will stay next time we are in Stockholm.
