"a pleasant hotel stay"
Radisson Blue Royal Viking is a really first class hotel. We were greated politely on arrival and thanked at our parting. The room was for 3 persons and very convenient and spacely. Everything was Clean and nice. Possibility to make your own coffee on the room. The breakfast was quite sufficient and tasty. The only bad thing with the room was its bad view from the window. And it is an expensive experience.
THe hotel is very well located and offers nice services such as a swimming pool (quite small though), a sauna (male and female separately) and a gym and a skybar I did not enter in but which seemed great. The staff was usually very helpful and cared about my request. You should make sure how the room you book is designed or inform the staff about specific requests in advance to avoid any disappointment. The fares are a bit high but seems it is standard price in Stockholm. I really recommend this hotel where I had a great stay on my own for 4 nights (I had a superior room which was fine for one person but maybe a bit small for 2).
"Nice hotel but pricey "
Little pricey but excellent location Excellent selection of breakfast foods but plan your time of visit as it can get overly packed The restaurant is not connected to the hotel so when we attempted to get dinner we were turned away due to it being very busy so plan in advance Bar food is good but pricey - burger is excellent
"Location is perfect "
We are staying at the Radisson. Lots of positives. Great location. Rooms are clean, service is very good, food is tasty and well taken care off. The only improvement I can think of is the Swimming pool. It is too cold, you cannot properly sit next to it and way too small for such a large hotel.
"Great if you ask for the refurbished rooms, and want to stay in the middle of town"
Great location right next to the central station, 30 seconds from the airport express train, if that is your cup of tea. The Sky bar offers a beautiful city view. I have stayed here 3 times, and learned to ask for the newly refurbished rooms. The old ones are not very nice, but the new ones are fresh, modern and surprisingly different. I have tested 3 different rooms and they all have totally different feel, colors and design. All of them fresh and modern - some small and some big within same price range. If you can get a room high up on the sea side, you might get an amazing view of the city, but many rooms have windows inwards to an atrium (where breakfast is served) and does not open. I tried out the pool which is located next to the gym in the basement. My 6-year old daughter enjoyed it, but not so sure I would spend time there by myself. The breakfast is really very nice! A great selection of Scandinavian food, good coffee, cereals, pastries etc. something for everyone - but beware of rush hour. It can get really busy and pretty crowded. Nice reception and very friendly staff. They were all very sweet with my daughter who loved our stay there very much, especially the room service. The room service menu was pretty decent, and the food was very good. I asked for some special requests for my picky daughter, and they delivered. I would probably stay here again, if I had not changed my hotel loyalty program.
