"Very nice hotel, great price and neighborhood"
This is an Excellent hotel in very nice section of Santiago. Modern room design. Near luxury shopping mall. Very safe section of Santiago- felt safe walking the street even at night. Very decent room prices- about $120 usd per night.
This is a great Hotel to stay for business or vacation , nice facilities, great staff, very clean, tidy and accommodating. A bit far from the city center but there is a lovely mall across the street, so worth a try and the price is cheap for the quality offered.
"Air conditioning too hot, hot water too cold"
Clean hotel, friendly staff, but numerous problems with room (air conditioning at maximum never cooled room below 24-25C, hot water not hot enough and flow too low from sinks. All pillows were hard. These are all issues that can be fixed so hopefully the hotel can improve.
I loved the hotel: quiet neighborhood, modern infrastructure, close to highway, nice staff, delicious breakfast. I decided to pass the weekend with my best girl friend for relaxing, shopping and spa But we had problems with the swimming pool in the spa the boths days: The swimming pool is very narrow and it not clear that is for relax: the first day to little girl jumping in the pool even when there were a sign not jumping and nobody in the staff say nothing to the girls, The second day a man was swimming and passed over and over again very hard beetween my friend and I. Again, to small pool for not having clear the relax target that i supposed it should be the main. Everything else wonderfull for relaxing, Sauna and massages excellent and the staff nice and always willing to help, One of the waiter even gift me a cigarette because I felt like smoking. The staff was always willing to help and make the experience special. No close to subway or walk distance to downtown.
"Great location, excellent staff, great rooms, though kinky bathroom"
We stayed here on vacation in March. We actually chose the location because of its proximity to local synagogues (7 min walk to Conservative - in the same street; 20 min walk to Chabad; half an hour to Orthodox). The hotel is, beyond this, excellently located next door (literally) to the upscale Portal La Dehesa Mall and the scenery around is stunning (as it is throughout Santiago). The airport is no more than half an hour away by road due to the excellent road system. Hotel staff were excellent - courteous, and only too pleased to help. We had a problem with one of the tours they arranged and they showed genuine remorse at the error. The rooms are large and well appointed and the amenity level is high. The free parking is also an essential and very welcome feature. The design of the hotel is very modern. In the design there are however one or two flaws. All the rooms are arranged around a central, glass-lined atrium. This has the effect of funnelling noise from the lobby area and musak from the large dinner / breakfast area all the way up the hotel. We were not disturbed by this because the hotel was fairly empty but I suspect it could be a problem if there are a lot of noisy guests. It didn't disturb us, but we could hear in our room on the 6th floor music from the breakfast area (which incidentally is very nice, large and well serviced) on the first floor. One other rather strange design feature is the open-plan design of the bathroom at the end of bedroom, with a divider. This itself would be less eyebrow-raising were it not for the glass doors to the toilet and shower which have a geometric pattern arranged so that one can clearly see 'the business' going on from the bedroom. Couples less intimate might find this feature rather alarming. See photo! But overall, despite the design 'features' we would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and especially appreciated the courtesy of the staff.
