of TripAdvisor Travelers recommend this hotel
We spent two nights at this hotel as part of an Insight Vacations tour. Being with the tour group we did not interact with the reception staff, but the registration was handled quickly and efficiently. Our room was very clean, but quite small. The beds were very soft and comfortable. The pillows were very flat and not particularly comfortable. There was not a variety of pillows offered. The room was very quiet. The only problem we had was the inability to control the room temperature. Overall this hotel was typical of the Radisson Blu chain.
"Nice hotel very very small rooms"
I went to Copenhagen for a business trip and decided to stay at the Scandinavia. The location is ok, you can even walk to the city. The hotel is very nice, however the rooms are just too small. This is somehow a typical thing in Denmark. The breakfast is pretty good. I do recommend the hotel even if it is not a real great one!
"Front Desk would freak you out !! "
This is a huge property. Has a casino. Rooms are pretty small and practically no room service. I would say it gives you a feeling of B&B. Breakfast is average. The worst is front desk, they have atleast 5 counters but only 2 work at any point. They don't bother if there is a long queue for check in or out. I was getting late for my flight and wanted to check out fast, but the staff lady turned a cold shoulder. Not a Radisson Blu kinda service.
"Good Hotel but Expensive! "
We were part of a Group Tour of Scandinavia and this Hotel was the starting point. We decided to come in early and booked 2 nights before the tour began. The cost was almost INR 25,000 per night on double occupancy - DKK 2,500 for a Standard Room - breakfast was included and the Hotel has Free Wi-Fi. The Service is courteous but not outstanding. We were allowed to put our luggage in the Cloak Room and were allowed to use the Bathrooms. We were also told we could use the Gymnasium for our bath. However when we returned after excursion in the late evening, there was nobody to deliver our luggage to our rooms! We had to take the bags to our rooms on the 11th floor! Thankfully they allowed us to use the luggage cart! The Rooms were of Standard size however we were fortunate to have even numbered rooms which have an excellent view of the canal and the city of Copenhagen - higher the floor the better! The Breakfast was excellent - great choices, especially the Fresh Orange juice - which we had to extract ourselves (service is not outstanding!) There was fresh yogurt with lots of Muesli and fruit And Cashew nuts for toppings, besides the fruit Compote. Eggs to Order - if you manage to catch the attention of the Helpful Waitresses. A wide variety of Teas and Infusions and A Pot of Hot coffee with a variety of local breads with Jams and Honey complete the picture of a Hearty and Healthy Breakfast! However you really have to politely push for the service to deliver. But for this, I would have given this Hotel a 5 star rating.
"First Time at a Radisson Blu Hotel"
This hotel is a short walk (a few blocks) from city centre and Tivoli Gardens. The hotel lobby is welcoming. There is a sitting area and bar in the lobby where people seemed to enjoy gathering. Staff were friendly and courteous. We did note that the hallways to the rooms were very plain and not well decorated. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the food was good, however, the buffet is a separate charge. Our room was spacious and overlooked a pond and walking path across the street. All aspects of our accommodations were fine. The only problem we encountered was that the taxi arranged by the concierge was late. The concierge was very apologetic and arranged another taxi for us. This was the taxi company's problem, not the hotel's, but I know the hotel staff felt very bad. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.
