"Very old hotel, must renovate! Far from center."
We left the Hotel the next day and went to an amazing 3 stars Hotel that deserved more stars than this 5 stars Hotel. Toilets are a disaster and very OLD. Only beds are renovated but the rest of the room and closet are a real disaster. The lifts and hall ways are very depressing I almost hated Copenhagen as a city when I arrived there. The lobby is big and check in was very friendly, but that is not enough for a 5 stars Hotel in Europe. Concierge is the dumbest ever, all information given was wrong! He couldn't find us a Restaurant to dine in at 10 PM, we eventually found several ones.
"Stay in Copenhagen"
This was my first trip to Denmark. I really enjoyed my time there. The Hotel was lovely, and the staff was extremely pleasant. The lobby area was beautiful, and the room and the bathroom were quite adequate. I will stay there again, when I return to Copenhagen.
"3 Nights in Copenhagen – September 4-6, 2016"
Excellent water pressure and hot water in this hotel. Large bathtub – very clean and looks like newly remodeled. Bed had good bedding but the mattress kept slipping of bed. Room 1304 – Nice View facing the city – Air Conditioning was off but can open window a small amount or large. Fans are also provided. Usual city traffic noise when window is open but not does not interrupt sleeping. Very Good Breakfast Buffet – hot and cold foods – plentiful. The usual eggs, meats, fruits, cheese, cereal and juices – very fresh. Large room for dining so you can find a table easily. Very friendly and helpful Front Desk – easy to check in and out. Staff seems to like working at this hotel. About 10-15 minute walk over the bridge to the true City of Copenhagen. Hop On and Hop Off Bus will pick you up in front of Hotel in the morning.
I was told that this was one of the tallest structures in Copenhagen. I didn't like the location as it entails an 8 minute walk from the metro. But a bus stop is conveniently located just in front of the hotel. A small convenient store may be found in the petrol station beside the hotel. No other shops beside this hotel. The hotel itself is huge and clean. Service was great. Rooms were also spacious and clean. The breakfast was not that impressive but acceptable. I would recommend this for business travellers who just want to get some rest at the end of the day.
"Worked for me"
This was one of those "in transit" stays, so I comment in that context. Checkin was efficient and polite, got to the room quickly and the room was a good size, beds are comfortable and had no problem sleeping. Breakfast was strange, it's located in a ballroom on the second floor and has the feel of a temporary set up, selection was a little limited and the coffee yuck..... Check out was just as quick, and cabs readily available for a trip back to the airport. As an aside, I have to say the view from the room was great and it looks like if you have time, the hotel is in a good location, but be aware it is attached to a casino, and maybe with that in mind there are better choices if you are Travelling with young kids.
