"Very well located, and the best breakfast in Oslo"
I have been staying in this hotel for years. It is extremely well-located for the sites and amenities in central Oslo. It is quiet, the rooms are comfortable, and the pool and the gym are a real bonus. As for the breakfast - well, it cannot be beaten. If Carlsberg did breakfasts.....
I was supposed to stay at Radisson Blu Scandinavia but ended up staying at the Radisson Blu Plaza because we were coming from the Norway in a nutshell tour and needed a place near the central station since we were arriving late at night. I specifically want to mention Mr. Ramon Tan because of his excellent service. We corresponded thru email and he efficiently and quickly answered each and every questions I asked, even after his work hours he would answer! He was kind enough to explain to me the distance of both Radisson Blu hotels from the station. Also suggested things to do and great treats to buy in Oslo. Shout out to Mr. Ramon Tan, thank you for all your help, even beyond what is expected work-wise. Definitely made our Oslo experience better! ☺
"Location not bad but tiny dust room"
We stayed in a family room in this hotel and we found the bedroom tiny, huge dust wall behind the sofa bed, dust in every surface that was not immediately reachable. The bathroom was miniscule, 2 adults cannot even stand in it! The room wifi was very slow and kept dropping which resulted in grumpy kids. The hotel was empty of staff a bit, the summit bar and lobby restaurant closed on Sunday. The decor is modern and pleasant and the breakfast buffet was great. Location is good for museums.
The Radisson is perfectly located near many very nice restaurants the Royal Castle and its garden and the National Theater. Nice and clean rooms, very friendly staff, a great little restaurant and a nice bar in the top floor with amazing scenic view.
My employer had prepaid rooms. When I arrived, I discovered that my credit card was forgotten at the conferance center. Although I had a passport, they wouldn't let me in. What were they afraid of' That I was going to empty the mini bar' My employer's booking company called another hotel chain. We will do the same next time we go to Oslo. You never know when you need some flexibility. Unfortunately, this was not SAS able to provide for a regular customer.
