"Great location near waterfront!"
I really wanted to give this place a 5star review, especially after we went to the Sky Bar, or whatever the official name is of the bar on the 21st floor. The hotel itself is nicely located near lots of public transportation and is also within walking distance of the water and many museums. The Skybus stops directly in front of the Radisson, which is very handy! (Be sure to say you're staying at the Radisson to get a discount on the bus, an also if you're a senior!). The standard rooms are somewhat small, but big enough for a desk, small table and chair. Bed was very comfortable although our friends complained that theirs was a bit soft. Small bathroom as well, but clean and modern. The reason for four stars and not five have mainly to do with the WiFi connectivity. Really really poor. We had some business to do and it was very difficult from the room (617). So, if you need to use WiFi while you're staying in Oslo, it's best to make that known to the registration staff. Maybe the room locations make a difference. We were only there a short time, so didn't want to switch rooms, but it was very frustrating. The other small, but frustrating thing was the ridiculous hair dryer and the way it was closely attached to the mirror in the bathroom. It made it very difficult to actually use! I find it hard to believe that patrons of this hotel are keen to make off with the cheap hair dryers supplied in the bathrooms, but then I could be wrong. The arrangement anyway, is ridiculous. Other BIG pluses, the staff! At every turn they were wonderful. Friendly, welcoming and very helpful. And last but not least, that bar. WOW!! It sits atop the building and provides a panoramic view of the city and the harbor. It is absolutely magic. Even if you don't stay at the hotel, you must check out this spot! The cost of accommodation is softened a bit by a large breakfast buffet which was quite good. As in all other places, very good service as well. We would definitely stay here again and make the necessary adjustments listed above.
"A nice place to stay"
A good hotel for touristvisit in Oslo. Good location and great breakfast and nice bar on the 21 floor. Nice rooms and ok bathrooms. Clean and You can bring Your dog for extra charge. Near everything in Oslo.
"Good standard and central location "
The hotel is located just a few minutes from the castle and the national theater. With taxi, bus and a tram stop just outside, transportation is not a problem if you don't want to /can't walk. Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is decent. Rooms are clean and comfortable enough. The hotel also features a skybar, but we did not get a chance to visit it. All in all, a good hotel.
"Ok, but very small rooms"
This is a clean, but dated hotel. The bathrooms are tiny and very dated in some rooms. The summit bar is ok for a drink, but I'd recommend eating elsewhere as the restaurant is purely functional and lacks a vibe or atmosphere.
"Good location but less than 4 stars"
Friendly staff and good breakfast. Aker Brygge in 10 minutes walking distance, shopping area in 15 - 20 minutes walking distance. Pool a bit to small but very clean. Overall rating is more three than four stars.
