"Nobel Peace Prize visit"
This remodeled Radisson Blu is nicely positioned to the downtown area. Easy to walk to the King and Queen's residence as well as the mall and downtown, including the City Hall and the water front. Relatively good sized room with good provisions for technology.
"Good location, comfortable, great views from the Summit Bar and superb breakfast!"
We booked our stay whilst on a driving holiday/tour. First impressions weren't the best as the parking garage was closed and the alternative one wasn't suitable due to a steep entrance angle (my car is quite low). We parked outside the hotel and apart from a few budding photographers the cars were safe. Things improved rapidly when we checked in. The friendly lady who had moved from Kent 12 years ago was incredibly helpful and not only checked us in quickly but gave us plenty of local information on restaurants and bars and pointed them out on a map. On entrance to the room I thought the decor was dated and the room although small had a fantastic view to make up for it. If you want to enjoy the vistas further take the lift (elevator) up to the Summit Bar for one of the best views of Oslo! Don't leave without enjoying your complimentary breakfast. The croissants were freshly baked and near perfection along with the freshly squeezed orange juice. For the money it was great value and I'd stop here again.
"Comfortable, good price, bar with great views"
Comfortable hotel, reasonably good for sight seeing location. Large business style hotel, great bar on the top floor with lovely views. Breakfast was good, although an absolute nightmare. We shot ourselves in the foot and went down later than planned on a weekend - so it was very busy! Recommend going earlier but the staff did work hard to clear tables and get people through. Airport shuttle bus from outside the hotel - paid for service
"Flies in bathroom, toilet doesn't flush."
I didn't expect such experience from a franchise like the Radisson, or at least from a 4 star hotel. We had two flies flying in our bathroom ( I attach photos). After complaining to the reception, they gave us another room, where the toilet would not flush at all! Also we complained, and maintenance came (or at least I hope they came as we left to the city center in the afternoon). However, the toilet was not flushing properly still. This was really frustrating, especially during the holiday season where you just want to come back and relax in the room. I didn't bother complaining again.
"Good stay for a citytrip, nice rooms and great breakfast!"
We stayed in this hotel for 2 short stays during our trip through Norway in december. Both times we felt very welcome by the staff which were very helpfull. We had a renovated room which was very nice, clean and modern. The rooms very pretty small, especially the bathroom. Besides that everything was really clean. The rooms can be pretty noisy, and you will hear the trams come by alot. Breakfast was great with alot of choice and great quality. We also really enjoyed the renovated swimming pool which is a great addition to this hotel!
