"Terrible - All inclusive Resort"
Very disappointing. Booked 5 nights including half-board. -Facilities inside are clean, except of the beach and the "house reef" which is full of garbage instead of live corals (other Hotels around clean their beaches daily) -Breakfast was ok -99% Customers are Russian All Inclusive Tourists -Animation is almost only in Russian -Beach Bar only serving all inclusive guests (I was told to go to another bar) -Restaurant (Buffet) only serving AI guests although no one even bothered asking ... every night the same buffet, tables not cleaned, too few service staff, one bar for drinks, long cues -Outdoor Disco every day (in Russian) playing loud music until almost midnight -Even information letters are posted solely in Russian -"Gym" is only a playground outside -No lifeguard on Duty at all at the Beach area Nothing wrong with All inclusive resorts, but if that was stated (and it's not when booking on RadissonBlu) the choice would definitely be a different.
"A prematurely aging hotel..."
"With a drop in tourism comes a drop in income then standards & services". this is unfortunately perfectly illustrated by the Radisson Blu Tala Bay Resort. What obviously was a 5* establishment is now a 4* building with a 2* service. The check-in is painfully slow (often with only one person on the desk). Our room was good and clean and housekeeping were fine. The buffet at the restaurant was a bit of a scrum and the hygiene could have been better & drinks are hard to be obtained, whether free or at a cost. The beach was good although some of the sun loungers were broken, snorkelling from the private beach over the coral and with the fishes was good but the amount of coke cans, plates & rubbish in the water was a disappointment. Overall we the hotel was good but well short of 5* and having witnessed the amount of complaints (and people checking out early) I think we struck lucky.
"A DAY AT THE BEACH"
Aqaba is a marvelous place to visit. There is so much to do and see. The people are warm and friendly and love visitors. So welcoming. It is very safe. Lots of great restaurants and shopping at the local souk. The beaches are so great and a nice dinner cruise is really worth the price. The Doubletree Hotel where we stayed has an arrangement with the Tala Bay Resort Beach Club so we were able to spend some time swimming in the Red Sea. I cannot recommend Aqaba enough. Great Value, wonderful, safe place to visit. And tons to do. We even took a day trip to Jersusalem which was very exciting.
Bad rooms, Bad bathroom, Bad hose keeping, I will tell my friends, and family for terrible experiment. And we have sink problem and there is bad smell in the rooms and bad swimming pools. And we can not sleep because there is music disturbance.
"Where has the Radisson standard gone'"
The Radisson Blu Tala Bay is not really an old hotel and yet is has definitively seen better times. A total lack of service from the poorly managed (but otherwise friendly) staff, crumbling facilities and waste all over the place prevent the hotel from living up to the expectations and to its five stars. Beverages are hard to be obtained, whether free or at a cost.
