"Try elsewhere in São Paulo"
Stayed three nights in April 2017. The location is a business area but there is a mall across the street and several restaurants in the area. The hotel is just ok. It is outdated and lacks basic amenities. For example the pillows are the worst I've ever used they are so thinly packed with feathers I had to combine all four to get it close to the firmness of one pillow. The bed is lumpy and uncomfortable. The tv has few English options if any . Be advised the rooms do not have American type electric outlets they are exclusively the two and three prong type. The hotel did provide me with an adaptor to use for my stay free of charge but they only have limited amounts. The air conditioning is terrible, inefficient, loud and clunky. The bath has a weird raised lip on the floor where if you aren't careful you can trip face first into the toilet, not sure why it's there it is a trip hazard. The only saving grace in this place is the shower. It is a rainfall type and was hard to get out of as it was quite enjoyable. I am no fan of Radisson properties but my company seems to like them and I always end up in one. I have low expectations for Radisson and this property was no exception.
Pretty disappointing for a Radisson i must say. Dirty room entrance door, dirty bed cover, super noisy air conditioner ( ...impossible to run during night). Gym equipment old and not clean either at 6am.... Will do everything to avoid it in the future.
"Recommended hotel for business people"
We stayed at Radisson Vila Olimpia in Sao Paolo for 4 nights in April 2017. It's a clean, upscale hotel right next to Shopping Vila Olimpia in the business section of Sao Paolo. The service was great, the maid did an excellent job and the front desk folks were eager to please. One of them helped us print our boarding pass. The hotel is ideal for conferences and business people. Taxis were available anytime. The courtesy breakfast buffet was more than enough and provided coffee, tea, fruit juices, cereal, sliced fruits, ham, bread, toast. It could get busy in the restaurant after 0830 AM so come closer to 0600 AM if you want to eat in peace. The reason for the 4 stars was the greenish water in the indoor pool. It needed filtration and chlorination. There was a fitness room as well. There was a coffee maker in the room and a mini bar. I recommend this upper scale hotel for business people and conferences.
It's a shame that such a nice hotel has a noisy air con system. You can hardly sleep because of the noise, so be equipped with a good pair of earplugs or be ready for a long, long night of heat and sweat. Staff is really good, check-in and out are fast as a lightning. Breakfast is just right, perhaps could be more explendid (they serve no decaf coffee, by the way).
I was for business in SP and needed to work from my room as well some time. That was nearly impossible as internet was very slow and very unstable. I hardly could receive emails. The room was OK but quite average and the bathroom was small (too small for an above average long person. I could not stand upright under the shower. So not a happy stay. The staff was helpful enough, but it was not in their power to change these things.
