Great hotel, would stay again next time I visit Amsterdam. Only the menu for lunch and dinner was small.Comment of K. Sylvia , Belgium the 2016-07-18
When you go on holiday you want that extra special feeling, you get that from this hotel from start to finish. We booked this for a special birthday and the girls at reception took care of everything, providing balloons, cake and prosecco on arrival, the most beautiful room with breathtaking views. The care and attention to detail made this the perfect location to see Amsterdams sights (tram 13 our side the hotel brings you directly into Dam square) Special mention to Rianne (hope I've spelt that right!) at reception who took care of us. We will be back!
Arriving at the hotel at about 7.30AM after a 12 hour flight we couldn't believe our luck when the very friendly staff told us that they had a room available immediately. (Check-in was scheduled for the usual 3pm). This was much appreciated. The room was fairly spacious, well-designed and had everything one needs. It was on the 15th floor with good views of a part of Amsterdam. In booking at this hotel I had traded location near the central city for cheaper priced accommodation. I was a little concerned that the hotel might be too far from the city attractions. This turned out not to be the case. There is a very convenient tram close to the hotel which takes you straight to Amsterdam Central or you can change lines at one of the earlier stops. So distance from the 'centre' turned out not to be a problem at all. There is a great bar and restaurant on the 17th floor with the best views of Amsterdam you'll get anywhere. This is a modern, clean spacious hotel with easy access (quick and inexpensive) to the city. If you don't feel like going out at night the bar is very pleasant.
"Lovely hotel, lovely staff, not so lovely breakfast "
Shuttle bus driver was helpful and friendly Staff at the hotel were also as helpful and friendly The hotel was lovely, only thing that let it down was the €18 breakfast which consisted of cold scrambled egg and bacon dripping in oil. However they have a waffle making machine which I think is a brilliant idea........only they turned it off at 9.55am and wouldn't let us quickly have a waffle So apart from a glass of apple juice and a small pastry I didn't get much for a very expensive breakfast I was charged for. Overall the hotel is lovely and a little out of town but a cheap tram ride takes u right into the centre and even better it stops right outside the hotel
Hotel with good rooms, clean, organized and good room service. Good localization with public transportation near the hotel and a beautiful park, KFC and others dining options. The hotel has airport transfer.
We didn't know if we would be ok with staying this far from the center of everything but we're very happy with our choice, the Ramada is actually the best choice as far as I'm concerned because you get much more for your money than any other option like staying in the city center. The first room were in, had quite a small bed but Chantal was very nice and swapped us to a much larger bed and lovely room for no extra cost. The breakfast is any foodys dream come true! The view is one of the best in Amsterdam also. Now be aware that the shower temperature fluctuates quite a bit, so don't set it too hot right off or you'll be burned! It was the same in both of the rooms we were in.
