Great hotel, would stay again next time I visit Amsterdam. Only the menu for lunch and dinner was small.Comment of K. Sylvia , Belgium the 2016-07-18
"a bit out of the hub of the city, but very enjoyable"
Our room was very nice. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is a very long walk to sights in the city, but it's across the street from the train so it was only a short ride into the city. The train stopped right by the Ramada, it was clean and very easy to use. Breakfast was amazing and the restaurant also has great food. I would say the staff at the front desk was a bit snarky and sort of helpful, but the guy working in the gift shop, which is also in the lobby, was out of this world helpful. He gave us a bunch of helpful tips as far as places to go and how to use the trains.
"Ramada Apollo Amsterdam"
We landed at 9:30pm and waited for the shuttle bus to find out that the last one was at 9:40pm which we had missed. I think they should definitely run until the last flight. We then had to find a train and then a bus to take us to the hotel and didn't end up getting there until 11:30pm! The room is basic and small but okay for the 3 nights that we stayed. The bathroom was a good size with a shower and they provide shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. We found the room very stuffy as there isn't a window to open and the A/C just didn't seem to work. We didn't have breakfast each morning so couldn't comment on this. We went up and had drinks in the rooftop bar which was nice. Food menu seemed very pricey. We opted to have the room cleaned each day - you can opt out of this and you receive €5 voucher for the bar. The sheets were not changed during our stay just the bed got made, fresh towels and they gave us tea/coffee/milk refills along with refills of shampoo. The customer service was average. We asked for fresh towels and milk at reception but they said they'd send it up to us. We waited and rung down twice but never got them. So if you need anything make sure you wait at the reception desk for it. Location was good, tram really easy to use. Number 13 stops right outside the hotel and takes you into the centre. Definitely recommend 48hr pass as you don't have to worry about paying each time you get on. It's €12.50 for 48hrs each. Overall good short stay hotel with great location for town centre.
"Ramada Apollo A plus!"
We stayed at the Ramada Apollo for four days. It is centrally located on the #13 tram line. Very convenient for sightseeing. The staff is outstanding and extremely helpful in sightseeing suggestions. The breakfast buffet was a wonderful addition with a million dollar view. What a great way to start each day!
"Decent choice outside of city centre"
I would rate this a three-star as it is an average hotel, but that seems like a negative grade on Trip Advisor these days, and this is a decent option for the price. The staff here is great. Despite the name, this is not the centre of the city; it is on the edge of Rembrandt pars near mecatorplein south of the city center. It is an easy tram away from central station or dam square, but it is not walking distance. Basic clean rooms. Water is hot and pressure is good. The breakfast is plentiful with good choices, but can be chaotic. The 17 bar and restaurant is a lovely spot with nice views and worth going to for a drink or a bite.
"Beautiful hotel in a beautiful city "
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Ramada for 3 nights and it was absolutely amazing. Staff were lovely and friendly, the rooms were beautiful and clean and the hotel food was to die for! Will definitely be staying again when we return. Thankyou for making our stay so special. Olivia and Joe :-)
