Our last night in Germany was at this hotel in Berlin. We were hoping for a decent place for the $85 it was costing - very inexpensive compared to other options. The hotel was attractive, very clean and new or renovated. The room was on the smaller side but the king bed was wonderfully comfortable. Staff interaction was minimal but pleasant and efficient. Location was great for our purposes of enjoying a last night in Berlin and catching a train at Alexanderplatz in the morning. This is a great choice of hotel if you want comfort, location and reasonable amenities at an unbeatable cost.
"Great location but the staff is disgusting"
I can save only the location and the room. The staff is so rude and arrogant. I will never stay there for the rest of my life! I can understand that the hotel is nice but service is also important. They were so arrogant and they act very bad with me just because they have a lot of demand! You should be always nice with people even if your hotel is fully booked! Let s go to Radison hotel instead, it s less nice but the staff is great!
Overall this hotel did not blow us away. There was confusion initially as we booked this as Ramada and when we turned up we found out the name of the hotel had now changed which made it more difficult to find. They let us check in before midday which was a bonus. The good points to note, the hotel is very central, the bathrooms have underfloor heating. Unfortunately that's it really, we didn't opt for breakfast as per person it was too expensive, the room was too warm and the thermostat didn't seem to work, there was no cooler or minibar, the hairdryer in the bathroom kept cutting out. The staff were friendly enough but just not overwhelmed
"Lovely hotel, great location and friendly staff"
We stayed here last week for 2 nights. The staff on the check in desk were so nice, it was our 10 year anniversary so we were given a free upgrade which was brilliant. The hotel itself is tidy, clean and modern, good wifi throughout and as mentioned before, we found all of the staff to be really friendly. We didnt eat at the hotel, instead we opted for breakfast at the local cafe next to the Europacar, and for dinner we ate at Hofbrau Berlin which is next door and Madami Moms Vietnamese Kitchen. We did drink in the bar and prices were reasonable. The location is brilliant, its around a 5-10 minute walk to Alexanderplatz Station. There are plenty of restaurants and bars near by. The area felt safe too. The only let down, and the reason we've given the hotel 4/5, is due to the pillows. They were so soft there was no support at all, it was like out=r heads were sleeping on cotton wool.
"Booked The Ramada - It changed it's name to H4"
I booked the Ramada Alexanderplatz via Booking.com, reasonable rate at around 70EUR per night. Initial problem is I couldn't find the hotel, well I found the building in the picture, I was looking for the Ramada, which i just couldn't find. There were 4 doors on the building, after using in the H2 hotel I was told the Ramada had been renamed to the H4 and was the doors on the far left of the building. Check in was smooth, they asked if i'd take a disabled room on the basis it was a bit bigger, to which I obliged seeing it as no issue. Room was a reasonable size, with a wet room obviously for the disabled guest, no major issues except the shower was so low down, obviously designed for a wheelchair, but when you are nearly 6ft it requires you to crouch down. Cleaning of the rooms was okay, there was little attention to detail cleanliness with bits of dust here and there. There was no 'Do Not Disturb' sign in the room, so on the final day I had 4 housekeeping staff knocking and coming into the room from between 8am and 10am, once whilst I was in the shower, which was a bit inconvenient. Room service menu was very limited, with only 3 main dishes, I ordered one, 'The H Burger' which was average at best and rather expensive. A reasonable visit, it did the job in terms of location, service was average at best.
