Was good spending the weekend at your hotel . The breakfast was really delicious.The location of the hotel is great which close to the Old Trafford and the Lowry outlet shopping centre it's just around 10 min walk to the resturants around you such as Nando's and Chiqitus and many more.
"Will not be reurning"
Fire alarm went off evacuated no system in place no role call no explanation what the problem was within 3 mins we went back to rooms fire brigade not called how reassuring was that! Had a worrying night afterwards. This appears to be an ongoing problem from reviews. Dirty towel under our bed. Unable to lower air conditioning unbearably hot. No mirror to do makeup or showergel, flannels, tisssues not replaced not even a biscuit to have with drinks. Reception tried charging for car parking we didnt have. Worst thing no hot water to have shower unbelievable on last morning, Staff surly and unhelpful said they didnt know anything about hot water although others complained and we had rang reception earlier. The only positive was Megan on Reception when we arrived. We expect better service when were paying over 110 per night which doesnt include breakfast.
" Bat out of Hell"
Stayed here to go to Manchester Opera House to see premier of Bat out of Hell the musical. Fantastic hotel and friendly relaxed staff. Not at all pretentious but extremely professional and meticulously run. The decor is very holiday hotel Spain and it felt as though the Sun should have been shining outside the comfort airy and light hotel. Beds were massive and facilities first class. Am going back as close to tram stop and central for Salford Quays and Manchester centre!!! Tram stop 2 minutes walk!!!
Reading some of the reviews and I don't understand why we couldn't fault our stay. We stayed here for 2 nights and the rooms were clean, spacious rooms, comfortable bed and a huge tv. They also provide a very nice breakfast. Thank you to all the staff we had a lovely stay here and we will definitely be back in the future.
Currently staying here and everything looked okay on initial inspection but then I realised there was no shower gel and the tissue hadn't been replenished which was somewhat forgivable but what unforgivable was the very long strand of hair on the towel in the bathroom - gross. I tried contacting housekeeping but the phones were seemingly unmanned as no one answered the phone. I'm not going to accept the hotel copy and paste response they've given everyone else about how this is a new Marriott hotel in the UK so they're ironing out the kinks, because cleanliness shouldn't need to be ironed out, it should be present in the first place. Poor housekeeping also cannot be mitigated by the same excuse.
