"Not bad, could have been better.."
This was our first time visiting Thailand. The hotel grounds were nice. The rooms were clean. The hotel restaurant was across the street, which was interesting. I found the food to be subpar. There are not a lot of lounge chairs at the pool (maybe 10'). There are some ground level rooms located directly around the pool with private decks and lounge chairs so that leaves one side (out of four sides of the pool) free for everyone else. We found that a couple times during our stay there were no available chairs. Aside from the hotel food being a let down, I was also disappointed by the staff. They were not very welcoming or forthcoming with information. The location was decent. It's a very close walk to a cute cafe and across the street from a coffee shop. About 15-20 mins walk to get into the Old town.
Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is lovely with beautiful landscaping. Rooms are spotless, bed firm and comfortable, but the shower didn't drain well and on the last night, a pipe burst and flooded the bathroom. Luckily the hotel staff attended to it very quickly even though it was past midnight. The spa is excellent. Breakfast is good in a restaurant across the road by the river. There are free yoga classes in the mornings and evenings. The evening yoga teacher (don't know if she does mornings too) is amazing. I'd go back to this hotel just to attend her classes again. Wifi is free but weak. Staff are helpful but not particularly friendly or welcoming, perhaps because they don't speak English well, which is not what I would expect of a 5 star hotel.
"Great Stay - excellent environment"
Excellent service and welcome. Staff very friendly; The only challenge is that the spa is fronting the neighboring pub that streams live music - disrupts the peace The pool is beautiful; and the spa service is good We were pleasantly surprised that the staff upgraded us to the rooms with direct pool access. Breakfast over see the river - amazing views
"Enjoying and peaceful stay in Chiangmai Mai"
This is a highly recommended hotel in Chiang Mai - peaceful, Zen-decorated, and service- oriented. We enjoyed the breakfast with the river view, dinner of Northern Thai food, spa (you should definitely try), Yoga in the morning (offered by the hotel), the gym facing the fountain, and the pool right out of your room (you can simply jump in if you are on the first floor, BUT do not if on 2nd or 3rd :)). The common room (living room) right behind the lobby is also very spacious and quite for family or group of people to enjoy their reading or chatting. Also, the hotel is walking distance to the old town and many places like Night markets, restaurants, bars and shows). Overall experience is quite super - if there is any drawback, the dining hall (called Deck One) is cross the street from the hotel but there are two security guards that direct the traffic so the guests can cross safely. Our kids and friends all like the stay.
"Quiet and relaxing"
Loved the hotel when we first stepped into the hotel. We were served cold coconuts while checking in. Hotel has just finished renovation and it looked very new. Aroma oil was place in the room and the room smells good. The hotel was very quiet. In the afternoon, we saw only one or two families around the pool. The water was cold even in hot summer. The hotel is outside the old city and across the review. It helps to make the place quiet but it also means 30min walk to the old city. Shuttle bus to weekend market and night market is provided. Free yoga class is also available. The breakfast is in a restaurant across the street. The street was busy but the security guards helped us to cross the road. Breakfast was OK, but with river view.
