"Perfect romantic stay!!"
We celebrated with my husband and friends our 25th anniversary as well as vow renewal We chose this property and it was perfect! No other ways to describe this beautiful boutique hotel. Exquisite Thai decor, rooms were very comfortable and hotel was on top of all details, they surprised us with nice fresh flowers for our anniversary, which was celebrated at sunset on their private boat while we enjoyed a magnificent dinner! Their staff was very attentive and friendly I strongly recommend to stay at Ratilanna if you wish to have an authentic Thai experience
"Beautiful riverside resort "
Stayed here for three nights after whistle stop 7 days travelling through China and was like arriving in heaven! Great location, amazing rooms, facilities (Spa/gym/pool/riverside lounge) and super friendly staff, couldn't fault any of it. We had a great GF room with balcony over looking the pool, the food was fantastic, staff couldn't do enough and onsite shop was superb. TukTuk into centre less than 5mins. As with everything, people's experiences/expectations may differ but we found it first class and would thoroughly recommend a stay if you want quiet location but amazingly close to Cntr, some luxury and great service.
"Great and Not So Great"
Great - location, just outside the main town but tranquil by the Ping river giving it a real resort feel. Just 70+ rooms so not crowded. Rooms and hotel areas spacious and lovely. Loved the large pool looking out to the river. Attentive service. Enjoyed the Thai restaurant with well priced but good Thai wines . Not So Great - one elevator that can take maximum 3 adults. Bathrooms showers had cracked walls and mold - not pleasant. Breakfast was fine but juices came out of industrial sized bottles, not so fresh and breads did not taste good.
"Very Strong Four Stars"
We recently stayed at the Ratilanna for four nights and enjoyed the experience. The hotel is close to the airport -- about a 15 minute ride. You can book a car with the hotel for transport to and from the airport; the cost is 500 Baht. The hotel's location is a bit far removed from the Old City, and there isn't much to do near walking distance. To get anywhere, you need to take a taxi or tuk tuk. The hotel will call for a taxi for you. The hotel provides a free shuttle to and from the night markets, twice a night. Booking in advance is required. Our room was on the fourth floor. It was clean and comfortable, with a spacious balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom area had a "water feature" that was cool in the beginning, but later became more of a nuisance since we had to keep turning it off. Otherwise, the bathroom was nice, with a big tub and a t.v. facing the tub. The toiletries did not include conditioner. The shower felt dated and could use an upgrade on the walls, which were bleak and unattractive. The bed was a bit hard for my taste, but the sheets were clean. Housekeeping did a great job. The information in your room will tell you not to drink the tap water. The hotel provides two complementary bottles a day. Our room included breakfast, which is a buffet with Thai and Western food. It was good and filling. The pool, which had a pool bar, was also nice, but there were not enough lounge chairs for all the guests. During one day, the pool was closed for a "deep cleaning," and the hotel offered to drive the guests to an alternative location. We also ate dinner at the hotel a few times, and were pleased with the Thai dishes. It is much more expensive than eating at the night markets, but the quality was good and the atmosphere was much more calming. Staff was polite and had various degrees of English proficiency. We found them to be helpful, if not always warm. They booked us a taxi, but failed to communicate to the taxi driver exactly where we wanted to go. We ended up parked by the side of the road, pointing to an English-only map, while the taxi driver called his friends to find out what "Public Park" meant in Thai. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Ratilanna and would recommend it to others.
Firstly the staff were very friendly and helpful. We got up grade to a larger room which was spacious and nice. Breakfast was good. The hotel location was away from all the markets so for ys it was very nice. The gym was good too. We didn't try the pool but it looked nice. Higly recommended.
