Un très bon séjour dans cet hotel moderne au design vintage. Très bien situé dans mala strana à 2 pas du tram et au bord du parc de la colline de Petrin. Chambre agréable et lumineuse. Seul bémol: le petit déjeuner est à revoir.Comment of R. Patrick , France the 2015-09-04
Really lovely hotel in good location near to transport, shops and restaurants.Modern and spotlessly clean hotel decorated in a minimalist style. Our room was very large with a king sized bed and lovely bathroom. One slight gripe is that the pillows on the bed were too large and very soft, so gave no support and I found it difficult to get comfy, Excellent safe location, a very short walk to trams that will take you to the Charles Bridge in a few minutes or you can walk in about 10 minutes. Also near to large modern shopping mall with loads of restaurants nearby. Staff were really friendly and helpful. If you want a view over the park(we had one !) you will be overlooking quite a busy road which may be a bit noisy for some although we found it not too bad. Would definitely stay here again.
"A fantastic stay in Prague."
Had a great 3 night stay at this Hotel. The staff from the moment we set foot in the place were great. The room was spotless and comfortable and the breakfast were delicious. It was a short walk from the tram and just across from the park.
I can't rate this hotel more highly. I was brought here as a surprise from who Little did I know it my partner who was then to become my Fiancé! My fiancé had been in frequent conversations with the hotel prior to our stay to inform them of his plans to propose during our stay. I understand the staff were incredibly helpful and helped facilitate all my partners requests without question. We were ungraded to a lovely room, incredibly spacious. The hotel made for a great base for us to explore the surrounding city of Prague. There are team stations very near by although we decided to walk everywhere (being in a fit-bit society we were determined to get our steps in, which we more than managed!!!) What sets this hotel apart isn't the facilities, which for the money are great but the staff. The staff always greeted us with a friendly smile, we're helpful with any questions we had. They booked us onto the Jazz boat dinner which I would highly recommend doing. We frequently required the use an iron/ironing board which the hotel let us keep in the room for the duration of our stay. Every night we called reception for Champagne flutes (well we were celebrating getting engaged!) we these were brought to the room within minutes. Breakfast was a slightly "deja vu" affair but plentiful and set us up nicely for the day. All in all the staff make this hotel what it is, we would like to share our appreciation of their kind hospitality with you all, and highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Prague. Thank you for the happily engaged couple!
"Will not go to again"
The staff is really nice and will do whatever they can to help you. The breakfast is typically European fare - luncheon meats, cheese, yogurt, breads, scrambled eggs, sausages and/or bacon. The complaints I have this hotel is it is utterly uncomfortable. The couch we had was so bad that I had to lay down instead. Unfortunately, that wasn't much better. Tried the desk chair and wasn't impressed with that, either. The room was rather small considering we had an executive room. Also, the bathtub is so high that I needed help in and out and I'm only 55. My husband needed help and he is 6'1". The location wasn't the greatest, either. Pretty far away from items of interest. There is a tram that's a few block away, and the staff will help you with the tram numbers and tickets you need. The hotel was just okay. We've stayed at better in Prague. Would love to recommend due to the staff, but require more comfort than that.
"Lovely hotel, lovely room, helpful staff."
We stayed at the Red and Blue Hotel on a Travelzoo Deal. The room was an up grade and very nice, and quiet. Comfy bed and beautiful bathroom. When I originally booked I asked if we could possibly have a walk in shower rather than one over the bath, but I dont think the hotel staff had been aware of the request. As we arrived too early to book in we were able to leave the bags and the receptionist said she would try and allocate us a different room that would accommodate my request. We ended up with a walk in shower AND a bath (ROOM 401) The breakfast gave us a good start the day. The only issue with the stay was the bar. We were supposed to have a non stop happy hour (30% off) but the price for 2 drinks was a bit steep so check your bill. Staying over the river from the centre of Prague was not a problem. The trams are brilliant and can get you everywhere. Turn right out of the hotel to the main road and you find the tram stop. No. 9 takes you over the river. Getting from the airport was very straight forward. We took the no. 119 bus from outside Terminal 1/2. This the takes you to the metro stop Nadrazi Veleslavin on the A (Green line). Some long escalators involved. The stop you want is Malostranska. This is a good hub for different trams and is also near the castle steps. No. 12, 20 or 15 will get you to Svandovo Divadlo, stop nearest to the hotel. Walk in the opposite direction to the tram and them up the hill on Holeckova street. No. 22 is also a good tram. It goes from the city centre up to the castle via Malostranska. The 1 or 3 day travel passes are brilliant and include travel to and from the airport. The machines in the airport take notes but the ones in the metro only take coins. You are supposed to buy a childrens priced ticket costing 16czk for luggage. Apart from validating your ticket on your first trip you dont need to show them again as there are no barriers. However we were checked once during our trip and he had just fined a local resident for not having a valid ticket. Hope this info is useful. All the info is out there but nice to have it all in one place. We loved Prague and the people and will definitely go back
