"Beautiful hotel with gracious and friendly service"
This hotel, a former palace, is a beautiful and special place to stay while in Florence. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed, peaceful and serene, and is within an easy walk of anything you'd want to see in the city. What makes the experience extra-special, though, is the attention you'll get from everyone on the staff. They are friendly and helpful, and will put you at ease from the moment you enter. The breakfast provides enough delicious options to please anyone, I'd think. I can't imagine a more wonderful place to stay.
Súper nice hotel, the building is gorgeous. The service and staff are extremely helpful and professional. Location is walking distance to everything in the old town. Highly recommended . Not a hotel for family
"What a charming hotel - would highly recommend!"
This is a beautifuly stunning and traditional hotel in the perfect location. Upon arrival our taxi car doors were opened by staff with a huge smile and warm greeting. Our luggage was taken from us, we were guided through an impressive entrance, the decor was absolutely beautiful, large chandeliers, beautiful fresh flowers and artistic paintings and pictures were around every corner. Upon reaching the reception area via two flights of steps (lifts are available) We were handed a glass of prosecco and a choice of local Italian biscuits by the friendly and attentive receptionist who upon idenitfying that we were new to Florence, talked us through the local places to visit, shop and eat, marking them clearly on a map for us. We stayed in a Suite, which was spacious and luxurious. You first walk into the living area which has a two seat leather sofa, table and two chairs, a flat screen TV and artistic pictures mounted on the tastefully decorated room walls. A mini bar fridge and coffee making facilities are incuded. There is a plethora of various lighting available on the walls, and ceiling with a view over the italian roof tops to the Santa Croce Basilicia. Two large white wooden sliding doors seperate to open up the view to the bedroom, an inviting king size bed awaits you with a large impressive chandelier falling from the ceiling. The windows are easy to open and tastefully draped. The bed is large and very comfortable. To the left of the living area is a small walk way to the open closet which also had 2 drawers, a safe and full length mirror. From this area you walk into the tuscan marble grand bathroom which has a large shower over a bath. Luxurious shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion was replenished every day. Slippers and robes are provided and also a turn down service. The decor of the hotel is stunning and very traditional. We loved the old 'read receipt' framed letters which were then depicted by melted wax stamped on the letter. Look out for these as there are a few dotted around the hotel. You will find yourself constantly looking up and around at the architecture and design that is in keeping with Florence. The music room is breath taking, the history of this room is phenominal. We were told that a previous owner used to be entertained by musicians in the secret moving panels on the walls. There is a breakfast menu where the chef can cook you a selection of cooked eggs, also available in the breakfast dining area are; a series of cold cuts, fresh breads, pastries, cakes, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, juices and prosecco. Fresh coffee/tea is brought to your table. The staff are delightful, they cannot do enough for you. They even delivered a complimantary cake to my room on my birthday. This is a beautiful, small and charming traditional boutique hotel. We would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting a luxurious stay in Florence. If you are looking for all the mod cons, this is not the hotel for you.
Incredible service from the moment we arrived. A complementary glass of champagne while we were checked in. Dinner was incredible. Liked this hotel so much, I asked concierge to make reservations for sister hotel in Rome. Will be back again.
"A stunning renaissance building in the heart of Firenze"
We recently had the privilege of staying at the Relais Santa Croce, a renaissance building built in the 1600's which was a former palace. The hotel is well preserved and maintained. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a glass of presecco and took a seat in the lavish music room whilst we checked in. The staff here go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and the small touches do not go unnoticed. The view from our room of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore was truly impressive. An unforgettable stay.
