"A great find"
This was my first stay at this hotel and I was delighted with finding it. It is a relatively new hotel in Munich and as a result it is modern, spacious and immaculate. It is just 2 blocks from the main station yet is quiet and you get a good nights sleep. The only downside is the price of breakfast which as a result I did not trial.
"The worst FOUR star hotel"
1. Bed and pillows: bed was hard, I woke up with an aching back. The pillows were so very flat, it gave us neck pain. Definitely time for some replacement pillows. 2. No water kettle/tea/coffee/cocoa in room, nothing. When I asked to borrow a water kettle, the receptionist gave me a kettle of hot water, which became cold within a few minutes. 3. No slippers. Really' We had to walk bare-footed on the cold wooden floor. 4. Very weak heater. We cranked the heater all the way up, but the areas that got a teensy bit warmer are the ones near the wash basin, which seems like where the heating exhaust was located.
"Worst bed/pillows ever!"
It's a lovely hotel with great service and good location. The room was all we needed although my other half struggled with the bathroom having glass doors onto the bedroom. He felt somewhat uncomfortable. The reason for the mark down to three stars is because the bed was sssssssooooooo uncomfortable that we just couldn't sleep. My back was solid by the morning and my other half hurt his neck. It's such a shame that the bed, mainly the pillows, were so substandard. Fundamentally this is what a hotel is for!
"Lovely 3 night Christmas time break!"
Stayed here for 3 nights- loved it! Rooms: Comfy, warm and very clean rooms with good bathroom facilities. I can see why the bathroom set up may not appeal to those traveling with friends and families, but for us as a couple it was fine! Free wifi in rooms which was extremely helpful and worked well for us. Only thing- pillows quite flat. Staff: Reception staff were helpful and polite. Location: Good location, hotel is about a 15/20 min walk from Marienplatz and about 10 min walk from Central Station if that. We didn't have breakfast as we thought it was overpriced so can't comment on this. Really lovely modern hotel, would definitely stay here again and would recommend for a city break!
"Ok for a short stay"
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 nights to visit the Christmas markets. The location is good if you are arriving by train as it's only a few minutes walk. The young girl that checked us in was really nice and helpful. She gave us a map and marked the places we said we were interested in visiting. We also arrived about an hour before check in but she said our room was already ready. The room was nice, rather small but I guess space is a premium. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and it was odd that they left only 1 small bottle of water between 2 of us. The bathroom was an odd set up. There was no door! It has a sink when you walk in then to left was the small enclosed toilet with a frosted glass door. Its like a glass shower door that stops a few inches from the floor and has no lock. On the other side of the sink is the large shower. The glass and the shower door are completely see through. The privacy in the bathroom is zero and to top it off the bath towels they provide are tiny. We were travelling as a couple so it wasn't to bad but if you going with a friend I personally would not feel comfortable with it. The beds were very comfortable and we both slept very well. We did have a few drink in the hotel bar which was small but nice. It was very expensive however, I think we paid around €12 each for a Gin and Tonic if I rember rightly. When we checked out it was a little chaotic, the 3 staff members seemed a little overwhelmed with everyone checking out. We left our bags as we weren't being collected until later. When we came back we ordered a coffee and as there was no bartender avalible so the lady from reception had to get the drink which she was clearly not happy about and rolled her eyes when we orderd 2 hot drinks. We asked for our bags back and they said the guy was not availble so we should wait. This was no problem as we we had plenty of time. After a while when our taxi had arrived and we still did not have our bags we asked again and the concerge said he wasn't sure where they had been put as they had more than one room for bags but my boyfriend could go with him and point them out. We were just glad to get them back and be on way to the airport. It all seemed very disorganised and it was like we causing them a huge problem for simply asking for our bags back. I unfortunately would not return to this hotel
