The Renaissance Baltimore harborplace hotel is located in downtown Baltimore is near many Inner Harbor attractions, restaurants and shopping.
"Great location, not so soundproof"
It's a standard Renaissance. Room is great and the hotel location is fantastic for tourism. The gentleman at the front desk who helped me was superb--I was taken aback by how courteous he was. I had a harbor view room. My only issue with the property was the noise. I could hear everything that happened in the hall outside my room, but as soon as the people in the hall would enter their rooms, everything got quiet again (so good soundproofing on the walls at least). There was a sizable gap between the floor and the bottom of the door, so I tried to shove a towel in the gap to muffle it, but it didn't help much. I could hear sirens and helicopters most of the night, but it is downtown Baltimore and there was a protest on Pratt Street and a Ravens game that night, so not much that can be done about that no matter where you stay.
"Nice hotel, good food, Starbucks on 1st floor"
I loved the room itself but my view looked into the mall. However, I actually enjoyed having the mall right next door. I wanted to put another layer on as I ventured through Baltimore and Forever21 was right downstairs. I ate the Crab Chowder at the 5th floor restaurant/bar and it was delicious! Hotel is right next to the harbor, tons of restaurants and ships. The restaurants surrounding had a lot of chain restaurants but I found some amazing local spots less than a mile away. There were plenty of ubers nearby and I never waited longer than 3 minutes. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and tub.
First of all this hotel has a great location as it right across the street from the inner harbor tourist area. A CVS and a Barnes and Noble are within walking distance. This hotel is huge! Long walks from the only bank of elevators in the hotel. Even 9 floors up It was quite noisy with the various and sundry city sounds. Get a harbor view room. Quite a nice view. The room had a gigantic TV but the remote would not change the channels.
"Beautiful View Beautiful Place"
The location is everything The Inner Harbor is right across the street. Phillips seafood and Chipotle, Five guys, Cheesecake Factory are all across the street as well ChickfilA is next door. And the best part is that this hotel is connected to a nice mini mall that has Forever 21, Childrens Place, Payless, kids gap, Victoria secret and bath and body works and Foot locker. I thought for the price we paid was a trick but it wasn't this hotel is not expensive at all. They don't have a free breakfast so that kind of sucks but by the time we got out of bed and got dressed it would have been time to eat lunch. At the time we stayed Dec 2-5 2016 it was kind of busy but not busy where I was annoyed by it. Parking is under the garage at the hotel and we found excellent parking every time so no complaints there neither. Parking is not free it is a lil pricey but compared to other hotels surrounding this one I didnt mind some Hotels every time you left you had to pay $5.00 to get back in so now thinking about it the one time fee of $30.00 we paid is not that bad.overall I would say that this is a very nice Hotel everyone was friendly the rooms were clean and the hotel was clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. i did not go down to the pool area so I have no idea what that was like and I didn't see anyone leaving or talking about it either. It was the beginning of Dec so I wouldnt want to be in the pool either. The next time I come to visit my family I will be staying at this hotel again we had a wonderful time. This is not my first time in Baltimore MD my family lives there but this was my first time staying in this hotel.
We stayed for New year's event very nice place. The staff was friendly and courteous. The restaurant was excellent, great bartender. The rooms were clean and welcoming. The only complaint we would have was that it was a long walk from the elevator.
