"Centrally located with short walk to most attractions"
Barcelona is such a user friendly city and having a rental car in not a necessity. The public bus from the airport last stop is just a 10 minute walk from this hotel. Must say very convenient to the Shopping & Boqueria Mercat. definitely one of my favorite cities to visit.
"Comfortable and Convenient"
The accommodations were very nice and the convenience of hotel to shopping, dining and some of the main attractions of Barcelona was a definite plus! All of the amenities were clean and did not detract from the overall experience. The staff was very helpful and offered some great suggestions for local walking adventures (day and night). This was our home base for our Formula 1 race weekend, and pre-cruise stay in Barcelona.
"Highly recommended, great hotel run by a very efficient Scottish General Manager."
Just spent 4 days there, great location and very pleasant staff. Very good concierge and we were fortunate to meet the GM, Mr. Meelah who rcommended some great restaurants and made our stay extra special by providing that local touch Ina friendly manner. Great base and an excellent product.
"Renaissance Barcelona Hotel: Excellent Hotel for Pre/Post Cruise"
Renaissance Barcelona Hotel is a very good hotel for cruise passengers for pre-cruise or post-cruise stay in Barcelona. Like most cruise passengers arriving at the hotel early in the morning either from their cruise ships or Barcelona Airport, we had to wait for our room to be ready for afternoon check-in. So we left our luggage with the bell captain, and went to Passeig de Gràcia, a broad boulevard, 1 block away to right side from the hotel along "Carrer dell Consell de Cent". At the intersection with Passeig de Gràcia, we made a left turn, and walked until we found an entrance to Passeig de Gràcia metro station, where took a metro train to visit Joan Miro Museum. There are multiple entrances to Passeig de Gràcia metro station, which is connected to complex Barcelona-Passeig de Gràcia railway station. Therefore, observe landmarks on Passeig de Gràcia as well as in the underground concourse carefully. Renaissance Barcelona Hotel has modern facilities and amenities with comfortable rooms. Hotel's staff members were professional and efficient. Buffet breakfast included in the room charge was sumptuous. Front desk staff members were ready to arrange transfers to cruise terminals or Barcelona Airport. Those who would like to walk around the hotel area can walk to Rambla de Catalunya (about 12 minute walk) or Gaudi's famous church "La Sagrada Familia" (about 25 minutes).
Great 5* hotel in the centre of Barcelona. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Very well equiped. Staff excellent and helpful. A minor problem with the sink in my bathroom was swiftly resolved. Breakfast is good. The bar is well equiped and stocked. Nice place to stay.
