"Great staff, bit tired and horrible car park"
Stayed here for 1 night as single female traveller. Horrible underground car park looked like a prison and felt just as safe. Staff excellent, really helpful and friendly. Usual buffet breakfast. Room very clean and up to date with security features such as peep hole and additional lock which is always reassuring. Occasional signs eg lifts that a refurb is needed. Took 1.5 hours ot get to M602 form this end of Deansgate due to really bad behaviour by Manchester motorists who don't seem to understand that parking ina hatched box impedes other travellers.
"No free wifi and paid for parking"
It's 2017 almost... for a hotel to charge guests £15 for wi fi in rooms is quite frankly laughable and an utter disgrace. Add to that the £18 parking charge and the price of rooms becomes crazy. Good location, and the rooms are adequate if in need of some updating and TLC. Not even a bottle of free water. There are better hotels in Manchester at this price point and nowhere should be charging for wifi these days. Won't be back.
"Great location with great staff and good quality room"
stayed one night in double double room with friends, Really pleasant and helpful staff right from check in and throughout stay. Lobby area flows into dining and bar areas, quirky decor, relaxed and comfortable. Room clean and comfortable, did not notice noise from other rooms or corridor - HURRAH! Bathroom a little dated but clean and functional. Very good breakfast with wide variety. Enjoyed our stay and would return happily.
"Good location, reasonably comfortable room"
Great location, city centre. Room was large and had desk and plug point at the desk which is always a bonus. Iron and iron board also provided. Good sized bathroom. Large bed, which was reasonably comfortable, but could do with a mattress topper. Our stay was let down as the room had very poorly fitted secondary glazing which rattles very loudly at night due to the wind, luckily I sleep with Earplugs in,if you didn't you would have been lucky to get any sleep. Also despite putting do not disturb on the door the cleaner still tried to enter the room.
"Renaissance Hotel. Amazing weekend stay in Manchester."
Myself and my two daughters stayed in the Renaissance hotel in Manchester to celebrate our birthdays. The hotel is beautiful, we stayed in a deluxe double room, two double beds, very comfortable. The room was large and had great views of the city. The staff here are so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. We arrived early, and our room was ready for us. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. We were in Manchester for the Xmas markets, we loved our day at the markets, so magical, the hotel is ideally situated near to shops, bars and restaurants.we retuned to the hotel after a long day of shopping, we had drinks in the lounge bar, and listened to a fabulous singer ( sorry didn't get her name ) she sounded like Katy Melua.a perfect end to an amazing day. We had breakfast at the hotel before heading home. Plenty of choice, we had full English. Great hotel.
