"Lovely Hote, Very Accomodating Staff"
Spent five nights here for a conference. The hotel is very clean and seems to have been recently renovated. Lobby is very nice and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was close to the elevator but did not seem to be a problem. The only noise we heard were loud guests in the middle of the night in other rooms or hallway and that happens in most hotels. Many resturaunts are within walking distance but don't overlook the hotel resturaunt. We had a wonderful meal at the hotel. Overall the food in Phoenix is expensive and the Dust Cutter was no exception. The hotel has a funky exterior and if you didn't know it you wouldn't even believe that it is a Marriott property. My only reason for not rating excellent was because the floor in the room around the beds could have been cleaner for my overall expectations. But I would stay here again.
"Clean, Modern, and friendly"
I was in Phoenix for a conference. I found this hotel at the last minute. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very modern and had a decent view. I will definitely stay here again. Close to just about every major spot in downtown Phoenix
"Hip, Modern, Clean, Quiet"
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and were very happy. It's within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. The valet parking was expensive but very courteous. The hotel itself was modern, clean, update and pleasant. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was updated and clean. The complementary toiletries in the bathroom were all aromatherapy and nice. The room was easily made dark so that we could get rest. Room service was responsive to our request for vegan snacks. The hotel has a happy hour for guests every night which was nice. It was just a cool, clean hotel with a chill vibe. I would definitely stay here again.
"loved the hotel, and the front desk and the rooms but........"
was great but the bar sucked....$7 for a beer that they give you in a plastic cup' and the bartender, she was not worth much....no smiling, no talking just not enjoying her job. ended up just waking down the street to have some drinks where we were appreciated. rest of experience at hotel was the normal awesomness of a Marriott.
Being Marriott members, we booked the Renaissance in downtown for the location and points on an overnight to AZ for work. Very happy upon arrival to see what a beautiful hotel it was. Great front desk service. Nice clean rooms. Starbucks and a nice restaurant bar in the lobby. Great outdoor area off the fifth floor. Location was perfect. Will definitely stay again when I'm in Phoenix again!
