"Beautiful hotel in Sao Paulo"
Stayed there on two different trips and loved it. Cool lobby bar area. Great location and service. Beautiful, large facility with great rooms. Had two business meetings there while we were there. Typical excellent Marriott service.
"Very good hotel but lacks of warm water!!!"
The hotel is fantastic, rooms are big, have been recently renovated. Beds are very comfortable, and the overall decorations are modern and sober. The staff is very nice, very helpful, the navigator has a lot of excellent recommendations for places to visit around. The hotel is located in a great spot, within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and also the avenida Paulista. The only problem is that the hotel doesn't have any warm water! When I found out, I called the front desk who sent someone to check. They explained to me that I just needed to wait for a few minutes for the water to warm up. The first day, it worked. But on the second and third days, no matter how long I waited, no matter at what time of the day I was trying to shower, there was not a drop of warm water coming out of that shower, nor in the bathtub, nor even on the sink.... as a platinum member with Marriott rewards, it's the first time I've been to a Marriott hotel that did not have warm water, and I've been to a lot of them! It's a shame because in a hotel of this standard, you would not expect this kind of inconvenience.
"Excellent service and very nice accommodations"
I had stayed several times at this hotel and it our favorite hotel in Sao Paulo. The service is extraordinary--from the way we are greeted upon arrival, to the front desk for the check in and the executive lounge personnel. The breakfast, under the direction of Vinicius, is excellent. The executive lounge offers a variety of beverages and generous snacks. It is really nice to come back and be recognized by the staff troughout the hotel. The fitness center has state of the art equipment
"nice hotel - great staff"
After a long flight, I was hoping for a restful and peaceful stay in Brazil which is what i received. Check-in was prompt and my Gold member status was recognized immediately. I found the room to be small (I received an upgrade because of my membership status), but quite comfortable and functional. The hotel was able to provide helpuful information about the neighborhood, they gave great directions on tourist areas and taxi services were prompt and easy. It is a challenge using AMEX in Brazil more than any other South American country, but I only came across this twice during my 1 week stay. I used the spa and quite enjoyed my 90 minute massage. The Masseuse was excellent. What I didn't enjoy was the collapsible face rest which was not adjustable to fit my face or my height. It was difficult to find a comfortable position during the treatment. The Concierge Lounge is located on the top floor. During the evening they offered any flavor caipirinha, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The only thing I missed was not being able to request for special order items from room service. If this was available, I was not made aware. The food that is offered is either really good or swing and miss. For example, some of the finger foods are quite delectable as are the desserts (exceptional creme brulee), however the bacon was ALWAYS burnt and the eggs were quite runny and I had to request them to be 'nooked' on several occasions. My room was cleaned like clockwork, and everything was always made spotless. Overall, the staff went out of their way to treat guests exceptionally well. I quite enjoyed my stay, including the hotel and its convenience to Paulista Avenue.
"A&R in Sao Paulo"
Once again we came to the hotel. It felt so good when we arrived. Ana-Christina was behind the desk when we checked in on the 23rd floor. She was so friendly during our stay. She took care of us. We also remember guys who brought/picked-up bags. They are as well nice and friendly. Lounge staff remembered us as well and it was nice to have a breakfast there and early evening snacks/drinks. Our room was upgraded and we had a nice view over the city. Concierge of the hotel sent sweats because of my partner’s birthday (small birds told it to him ;-)) We also got welcome drinks in the suite. This shows how well hotel staff takes care of guests. Small things but important ones when you are far from home. Feels so good! Location of the hotel is good – close to Avenida Paulista and other shopping streets. Metro stations near as well as bus stops. We took buses to museums and to city center. Bus drivers are helpful if you need assistance. We love Sao Paulo and we come back and stay in the hotel. See you soon!
