"Very Pleasant Stay"
Nice, low profile, boutique-style hotel with good access to all the major downtown spots. Though the hotel is located right off of I-5 North at the Madison Avenue exit, highway noise isn't a problem. Main entrance is on 6th Avenue which is just several blocks or about 10 minutes (on foot) to the central downtown area. It's all downhill from the hotel to Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square; however, the uphill return on foot might be challenging for some. Rooms are spacious and simple but quite comfortable. Beds are superb. We loved the bathrooms with the Speakman shower heads and Aveda amenities. The only downside was that our North-facing view was marred by dirty windows! The fitness studio, available 24 hours, was very well equipped with a full range of ellipticals, cycles, and treadmills, and the entire room was clean and well maintained. Complimentary and disposable earbuds were provided. We stayed over on a Friday evening and as Marriott gold elite members were offered complimentary buffet breakfast in Maxwell's, the main hotel restaurant. In addition to the typical breakfast fare, cold-smoked salmon with all the accoutrements was offered as well. If there is an executive lounge, it's closed over the weekend. Staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were all very friendly and efficient. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to return to the Renaissance. It offers good value compared to a lot of downtown Seattle hotels.
This is a nice enough hotel. Everything is as advertised. Easy to find as it's just off the highway. Do keep in mind that it will cost you $45 to $55 to park your car. Good location for pike place and pioneer square.
"1st wedding anniversary night"
We spend our 1st wedding anniversary at the Renaissance and we had a very good experience. They gave me an upgrade due to the special occasion so we got a huge corner room with a living room. I stopped by the day before check in to drop a frame and asked them to put it somewhere in the room so my wife would see it once we enter the room for the first time. Unfortunately they forgot to do it but I made up an excuse to my wife and went to the reception desk by myself. Once they realized their mistake I again asked them to put it in the room while we were having dinner. When we came back even I was surprised... they not only put the frame as I requested, but added a plate with fruit and different kind of cheese, a bottle of champagne, and even a bouquet of roses! Everything beautifully arrenged and with a consultation note from the manager and front desk team. The only small downsides of our stay were that the lounge is not open on Saturdays, and that the restaurant was not open for lunch the same day. Also, a building under construction was blocking a good portion of our view, but there's nothing they can do about it. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
"Amazing staff, hotel facilities and location!!! "
All staff is very welcoming and friendly, they are always up for a little chat with you making sure everything is alright. Hotel rooms are very clean, smell nice and have great views of the Seattle. Hotel is a nice walking distance from everything! Food- either room service, restaurants and the breakfast buffet are delicious and fresh! Once I missed a breakfast by one hour, so when I went to the restaurant it was empty. I thought breakfast was till 11 am but it was in fact till the 10 am. When I told staff about my silly mistake, they laughed and told me that I can still order anything I like and they will make it for me! That was fantastic news because breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! Also they were serving me with a smile on their faces making sure I like everything. I always enjoy coming back to that hotel, makes me relax, feel like home and enjoy every single minute. Staff is very professional and genuine.
"Perfect downtown location"
We spent an extended New Year's Eve here and loved it. The staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant was great for breakfast and lunch. The location was perfect. We walked every where, we parked the car on Friday with the bellman and didn't see it again until we checked out four days later. We have stayed at many downtown hotels and we are moving this one to the top of the list.
