Tucked within the heart of the Nation's Capital. Dupont Circle became a hub of commerce and home to embassies based on city plans created by George Washington and his architect friend, Pierre Charles L'Enfant. Dupont Circle has remained an integral part of DC to this day.
Customer service is key. Everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean with great bathroom supplies. Food was good too and lobby fun. I checked in at 2:30 am with no problems what so ever.
I don't have anything extremely bad or outstanding to say about this hotel. I had a nice hotel stay. Nothing more, nothing less. What's nice: The staff and the location. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is very good. The Foggy Bottom train station is within walking distance and easy to find. I walked around Connecticut for it's shopping. I also walked to a couple of spin studios. What's not so nice: The only thing I noted but not completely turned off by was the old furniture. The upholstery needed a cleaning. The arms on the chairs had dirt that appeared to be from several hands resting on it.
"Perfect location "
This is a great place to stay and explore DC . It is a nice neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and shops around. Hotel staff are very nice people , the room is not huge but a decent size and nice illy cafe with easy access from the hotel if you don't want to spend $23 a day for breakfast. Wifi is free for Marriott members. No big deal really . Just download the Marriott app and you will get a membership number so you don't have to pay over $10 for internet access. It was lovely to have some free tea in the reception area. I do recommend this hotel and I would most certainly stay there again. If it is your first time in DC, make sure you visit Georgetown which is not far from the hotel.
"Fine hotel, just not great location"
If have business near Du Pont Circle or Foggy Bottom, then this is fine. I far prefer the other Renaissance on 9th but the price was right here. Why only 3 stars... - Staff were not up to caliber of normal Marriotts. No one mentioned concierge lounge, gym, wifi.. and I'm Plat Elite. These are normal things you mention. - Lobby food was okay. Not bad, but not something I'd do again. - Very few food options right nearby. within .4 miles, there were plenty but mostly eclectic. I didn't mind this (Kabob House, Cafe nearby were my choices). - Rooms were small - and I guess I still just don't care for a neighborhood small hotel near nothing of interest. Go here if the other marriotts aren't booked or way too overpriced. Dont' stay here if you're a tourist. Not at all convenient.
From the moment I walked through the door, my stay has been incredible!! Christian and Nemo at the front desk set the tone for the entire week!! My room was perfect! Concierge lounge was great!! The location was close to everything I needed! I will be back!!!
