"Pleasant Surprise as a "newer" Hotel in Zurich"
Great stay ,compact rooms yet overall larger experience.Love the wine selection at main restaurant. They even had Opus One in Zurich -now come on they thought about crazy Californians .I didn't meet the restaurant manager during by 4 day stay his name I heard is Verna also heard great things about him from his staff .Ill be back next year just to see this wine guy :-) Didn't like the small executive launch -claustrophobic Love the bell man Elvis -always smiling the most friendly Nigerian in Zurich Great front office as usual with all Marriott' properties -Jana also Mr Jensen goes out of the way to help Bit out of the way from the center but worth staying here if you have more than 2 days in Zurich
"Comfortable Property but away from the city center"
This was a comfortable full service hotel, but unless you are on business in the tech center, it is quite a ways from the city center. It took about 40 minutes to walk to the center, and was about a 10 minute tram ride back. If you are sightseeing and want a full service hotel, I would recommend the Marriott - which is much closer to downtown. The fitness center and steam room were nice!
"Very nice and comfortable hotel"
We went to Zürich one night for a concert and this hotel matched perfectly our need. It's located in a decentralized area but it's very well connected to the city center via train and tram. There are also plenty of taxis available in front of it. The staff has been really kind and provided us all the information we needed. The room was nice, not too big and not too small. It was well prepared and clean. Not really full of optionals though. It has an excellent ratio quality/price.
"Always a Great Experience "
I have used this hotel on three separate occasions and each time I am very happy. Clean, quiet and perfect location. Walk to the train or trolley and you can get anywhere. Staff is always very polite and willing to assist in anyway.
"Nice hotel in business district"
The Renaissance Zurich tower hotel is a nice, modern hotel near the Hardbrücke S-bahn railway station. From there it only takes one stop/ a few minutes to Zurich main station or about ten minutes to Zurich airport. The area is kind of nice and has a mix of old industrial buildings (turned into restaurants or used for cultural purposes) as well as modern residential and office buildings. Check-in was smooth and staff was very friendly. My room was located on the 9th floor and had a very nice view. My room was a connecting room, upon entering my room; I realized that the door to the room next door was unlocked. A short call to reception and a few minutes later and the problem was solved. The bathroom is nice, with bath/ shower facilities and toilet in separate areas. The only downside in my view is the fact that the shower is in the bathtub (no separate shower cabin). The hotel gym is locate on the 15th floor and is relatively large and well equipped. I did not use the wellness area so this cannot be reviewed. Breakfast was nice. Despite a large conference taking place in the hotel, there were not too many people in the breakfast restaurant so everything went smoothly. Buffet choice was quite decent. All in all, the Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel is a nice modern hotel in a trendy part of Zurich.
