"Not really a 5 star"
This was the last sleep-over in our 3.5 weeks Europe trip last September, however, I would rate as the worst quality out of all. Switzerland is the most beautiful countries with the highest standards in hospitality in Europe, however this hotel just fell right off in my opinion. However, do not get me wrong, rooms are quite clean, staff are adequately helpful. To begin with, it is not centrally located, quite a bit walk to the nearest station if you have luggage. Ever though it is located in the supposedly unsafest area in Zurich, you would probably feel nothing around. Surroundings are just very industrial and corporate, it is very much a business area. Quite a few cafes nearby but hardly any restaurant (unless i have not looked carefully). The lobby is very very busy, and i believe it is the hotel for cabin crews of lots of airlines, so expect long queues for check-in and out. The area is still under construction, our uber driver was even lost on trying to find the roads there (apparently some roads are closed). The room is spacious, but not quite on par with a 5 star standard, everything is quite basic inside. However, for a night stay, it serves the purpose. I probably won't stay here again.
"Nice but not a 5 star"
We regularly stay in 5 star hotels and this is not up to par, however for the price paid and the view we received from room 1110 I can not fault it, the people are nice and the parking is reasonable for swiss prices, we stayed here one night and were happy overall, no robes & no slippers in the bedroom was not what we expected from a 5*, little things like this are important, wi-fi was decent and the view was great, the station technopark is right around the corner and it's about 15 minutes to get into the city centre and 20 to get to old town, no issues with this hotel, just wouldn't call it a 5*. Would say it has a 5* view though.
"Pleasantly Surprised by the Location and Coolness of Hotel"
We had less than 24 hours in Zurich on our way out of town so staying at the Schweizerhof Hotel was not needed. Located about 10 minutes by Tram is an up and coming area called Techno Park. This hotel, smack in the middle of the area is new, it is very clean, it is modern, it has very large rooms, it is a win for the price. I would stay here again even though it is not right in the middle of town. You literally cross the street and take the #9 tram and you are at the Main train station or you stay on the tram a little longer and the same tram takes you to old town. I loved the separate WC from shower area. I liked the hardwood flooring, duvets and the service.
"Renaissance tower Zurich hotel"
Room is big and tastefully designed. Shower area is separated from the water closet. The location is the hotel is st techno park, 15 mins from the main station. This area is rather quiet. The cos of the breakfast is 40 franc is really expensive n the cost of dinner is also rather pricey
This hotel is located in a great area, 30 min train ride to airport! A few steps away from really cool places to visit. Not only that on my last night there, my friend and I went downstairs to have our last drink before departure and you wouldn't believe who was in the lobby taking photos with fans before a club performance. Christina Milian and her entourage!! She was so nice and patient, and not to mention, drop dead gorgeous in person!
