"Wonderful Stay in Fes"
What an amazing find this was! The staff was warm, welcoming and very accommodating! They waited on us hand and foot and the dinner they offered was superb! I also splurged on a hammam and massage which was amazing and didn't break my bank. Close to the medina and lots of local sights. I will stay here again if I come back to Fes!
"Stunning hotel/amazing staff."
My name is Shannon from London i stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Greeted at arrival by wondeful polite staff, i was super impressed but the interior design of the place. I've never seen such beautiful art and design which covers the whole hotel. The staff were amazing, carrying my suitcase, helpful at every request. I had a standard room booked but Mohammed (the manager) upgraded ny room to en-suite from the kindness of his heart. He also offered to drive me back to the airport the day i fly - such wondeful and kind people. I would 1000% recommend this hotel to anyone, family or friend.
"Muhammed was GREAT!!!"
Very friendly staff who are willing to provide not only great service, but talk to you about anything really (especially the manager, Muhammed). Tea is on the house and there are so many open spaces to hang out. Wifi in the rooms is weak, if not non-existant, but the closer you are to the main area, the better your wifi is. The pool was also very cold. Overall, the stay was very fun and enjoyable.
"At the end of a narrow lane was a large door...."
This was my first experience staying in a Moroccan riad and what a pleasant one it was. The riad is on the edge of the Fes Medina and is a short walk from the fountain where buses drop their passengers. There are porters, if you need one, all to ready to give you a hand for a fee. As with many Moroccan buildings, what you see on the outside is not what to expect on the inside. Once through the large wooden door you walk into a large central courtyard that is open to the sky above (with some moveable roof panels). The mosaic tile work is beautiful, the old furniture authentic and the hospitality superb. We were served the usual "berber whiskey" which is the traditional hot mint tea while we waited to get room keys. Upholstered benches with numerous cushions surround the courtyard for you to relax on. There is even a small swimming pool and some chaise lounges in an adjoining court. There are no elevators and narrow, dimly lit stairways to the upper floors and porters if you need one. The air conditioned rooms are spacious and mine had a large bathroom with a tub and shower. As there are no windows to the outside so the room might feel like a vault and is be dark and quiet once the lights are out. I had to check my watch to determine the time when I woke up in the morning as the room was pitch dark. Breakfast was a lavish affair of several courses. Croissants, sweet pastries, breads, fruit, yogurt, eggs, tea/coffee etc. all delivered by the most friendly and obliging waiters. Now that you are fueled up for the day all you need to do is exit the large wooden door, go down the alleyway and turn left into the Medina.
Stayed for two nights. Great location. Beautiful riad. Excellent rooms. Great food. Huge breakfast. Lovely staff. Muhammad the manager - very gracious and great host. Nice pool. A must in Fes! Thanks for a lovely time :)
