"Spännande semester "
Friendly atmosphere and great guided Tours with swedish/marrocan manager Jamal! I loved this place. Met a lot of nice people. We had a 1,5 and a 9 year old with us, they enjoyed the stay too. Marrakech medina is not very baby convienient over all when It comes to changing areas and places for toddlers to play but the staff at Saba were helpful and they had a nice Crib for our Room.
"One week in Marrakech staying at Riad Saba."
Riad Saba is a guesthouse in the heart of the medina with only 5 min walk to Djemma el fna.All the rooms at Riad Saba has its own unique design. I stayed in the relaxing " Ocean room". Riad Saba is a perfect place to stay. Outside the door is the active street life and inside the Riad you find many nice places to relax like in the sun on the roof terrace, by the fountain in the courtyard or in the beautiful lounge. In the morning the friendly staff will serve you a nice breakfast. If you are interested in a guided tour around Marrakech and all its historic buildings than the manager Jamal Sebnat is the perfect man for the job! Im swedish and I find it so nice that Jamal, who is half swedish himself, could give me help and good advice in swedish!! Jamal also speaks perfect english and also Darija ( moroccan arabic).Jamal has a bigg knowledge about Marrakech and its history. I can strongly recommend Riad Saba, the staff and the manager/ guide Jamal. For swedish people this place is extra great =)
"The Hosts you want in Marrakech"
The perfect Riad for our four night stay. Convenient and charming. The owner and staff generously volunteered suggestions to help us enjoy Marrakech. They also made sure we had the important little extras like tea, rooftop pillows and sun hats, drivers and breakfast to fit our schedule. We relaxed feeling secure and prepared to enjoy our exotic surroundings. Our stay followed a 3 week work assignment so we found this riad through colleagues at a foundation -- for women's agriculture coops. The owner's son had been a volunteer for the foundation.
"Very nice Riad in Medina"
This is a really nice place to stay, in the medina but a few steps away from the big hustle and bustle. Riad Saba is very nice decorated, exactly as one would think is Marrockian style.I would love to have this style in my home. All 5 rooms different from each other, we stayed in Mauve-room. Beds very comfortable, hot water whenever needed. Good breakfast with fresh fruit, youghurt, bread, marmelade and the or coffe. It is not buffe but nicely served for each person on top floor. Before arriving I had several questions that were promtly answered by Jemal. On top floor there are also some sunbeds where you can relax. The Riad serves beer and wine, which is unusal. In Marrocko not many places offer alcohol. Riad Saba is accessable more or less with car, just a few meters to walk. We used the service from the hotel to get picked up at busstation and it worked very well. (150 Dirhams). We also used the service to get transfer to airport (180 Dirhams) and that too worked well. You can only pay the room with creditcard, all other expenses is to be payed by cash.
"Look no further"
When I come back to Marrakech I see no reason to stay anywhere other than Riad Saba. We didn't arrive at the Riad until 10pm but upon arrival we were welcomed by Jamal who gave us a tour and also explained the history behind Riads. Our room was large, airy and was beautifully furnished. The bathroom too was stunning and everything was very comfortable. Every morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, bread and eggs. The roof terrace also provided a very relaxing break from the pace of the medina. The centre of the medina was only a 2min walk from the Riad, we were also able to walk to the botanical gardens, which were a short way outside of the medina, in around 20mins. The main thing for me that stood out about this Riad is the friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Jamal always came to see us at breakfast and ask what our plans for the day were so he could offer suggestions and advice on what to do and how much we should pay. There is so much excellence about the Riad Saba that I struggle to put it all into words. I will definitely be coming back here when I return to Morocco and can't recommend this enough to friends, families and strangers. Thanks to Jamal and his family/team for welcoming us into your Riad and helping us have an amazing time.
