"Good hotel in good location"
Had a one night stay for business just after Octoberfest ended. Hotel is very clean, staff are all friendly and helpful and breakfast is good, with a varied selection. Rooms are decent size with a nice shower and comfy beds. Bar is also nice in the evening and a good place to relax with a cold beer. It is located a little bit out of the centre, but close to the English garden and a 5 minute walk from the U6 which is a direct link to the Marienplatz so it's not difficult to get around. Good hotel and will be back next time I'm in Munich. Probably just my room and Not a problem or negative, but the one thing that did catch me out is that the shower was plumbed in the opposite way, so the hot setting gave you cold water and cold gave hot.... I did wonder the first night why after 5 mins I wasn't getting any hot water! 😂
"Ugly, small, rude = cheap"
Got this hotel booked as some other colleagues from some company used it before. It has to be said the hotel comprises of 2 buildings/towers, 1 of them being a 3* hotel, other a 4* hotel. This review applies to the "3*" hotel. The entrance look nice, but once you get to the corridor to elevators, to true nature of the hotel starts to appear: cheap white wallpaper cover and over-used carpets. Then the room is a plain shock: narrow just as the width of a queen bed, dark, with a little window directly above the bed. I was thinking to myself: "I've got a wrong turn and arrived to local prison". (joking, probably the local prison cells are better). The room was clean, but there was only 1 pillow and a very small bed cover. Bathroom was clean though it needed refurbishment badly. My room was on the corner, so not so hot, but other colleagues complained their room was very hot and AC not working. In the morning we went downstairs to try the breakfast: it was a normal buffet continental-style breakfast. Except that at that hour most of dishes (hotdogs, scrambled eggs, cheeses, croissants, etc) were finished and nobody was ear to re-fill them. I've asked one young lady waiter to help us and she replied "it's not her job" (!'!). I've asked another one to help with an omelet and she said she will bring it quickly. After 30min of waiting when we were heading out, still no omelet in the sight. Probably the eggs were hard to find at the hotel. In the end I've tried to register for the peakpoints loyalty scheme. My 1st try was unsuccessful, as the on-line registration failed and nobody at the reception could help in the evening. Only the hotel manager could do in the morning ('!!). I've tried again the morning, passed the initlal registration, but after 1 day, my profile in not recognized anymore. My suggestion: on-line or off-line, avoid this hotel chain. There are plenty of better others in Munich or any other place.
"Quaint Hotel outside City Center"
Very nice hotel with a very good restaurant. Room was large enough for me as a single but may be a tight squeeze if you pack a lot. I was fine for four day. Comfortable bed and a nice shower. Location is outside the city center but a 5 minute walk to the subway. Was fairly close to the MOC where I was attending a conference so that made it worth it for me.
"Basic boring business hotel. "
Basic and bland hotel. Rooms are just ok. Only stay there if u have desperate need to be close to one of the office blocks next door and even so I rather stay in the center as it is not that far to get to those offices. Nothing around the hotel after 5pm and like a 10 min walk to the U bahn.
"Great hotel... but don't forget anything"
The hotel is very nice. Awesome if you want to be close to the city, but still not in it. The neighborhood does look a bit weird, but it is ok. The rooms have air con, so you don't need to open the windows (but you could). The staff is very friendly. But, we forgot to pack my bag. Which we only realized back in Switzerland. I called and the informed me that I have to call back on Monday. I did so. After a long week of going me constantly calling and asking about the shipping of my bag, I was informed, it was not possible due to Switzerland not being in the EU. I understand it is not the Hotels fault, we forgot the bag. It is also not the hotels fault Switzerland is not part of the EU, but I was calling everyday, and most of the time I was asked to call again the next day, since the person was not there or they had to inquire something else. Or I was told, we would have called you tomorrow about. So After one week I had to solve the problem by myself, which is fine, but I don't like to receive information which could have been obtained on Monday on Saturday after I called every single day.
