"Lots of amenities, very nice hotel"
Kind of late for my review, but...Very nice new hotel, with lots of amenities and a great spa! I particularly liked the Bank Automat next to the reception! Rather remotely situated but plenty of taxis available at the front entrance. Staff were very friendly and polite, restaurant people very willing to accomodate our needs ( we were there due to a sports event and need to have a specific diet). Rooms were large enough and although the hotel being on a busy road, we were not bothered at all with traffic noise. Overall a very pleasant experience.
"Ok for sleeping "
So, you basically have all you need on Rin Grand if you are not to picky. Although we had to change room the first night since it somehow was "flooded" and the next room had some kind of water leakage in the roof resulting in a small wet pond on the bathroom floor. Otherwise the rooms are ok. The lighting is pretty bad for makeup though. The very thing that really breaks down the rate would be the food. The breakfast is pretty ok but lunch and dinner was actually bad. No skills in seasoning and all meat was dry as paper. And unfortunately, even though recycling is good, they did "recycle" food in a quite obviously not so tasteful way. You don't want to see them regaining bread from a plate that's someone's been eating of, I am sorry but that does not look good. Otherwise the staff are wonderful and super friendly. Most of them are speaking English except some of the waiters. The pool area was fresh and the small shopping area.. hmm interesting. But still ok for just having somewhere to sleep but to far off city and nice surroundings to ever be able to take a stroll just outside, you will need to take a cab into city. Yeah and watch out for the stray dogs.
"Not recommended because of the location."
Though is a nice hotel, and I meet very nice staff I have to say that the rooms are a little tired and out of fashion. The Hotel is quite expensive but it offers really everything for business from conference rooms (with all the equipment and WIFI) to nice restaurants and very nice SPA and gym. What I hated is the location because of the traffic. If you look at the map the hotel is not faraway from the center or even from the airport or railway station but, because of the traffic the journey is long and annoying. So if you have a conference there is OK to stay there as long as you do not intend to visit Bucharest. you can enjoy the restaurants and SPA and have a really nice stay. But if you want to visit Bucharest I would not choose this hotel.
"HOTEL GOOD BUT STAFF RUDE"
Hotel was good, clean and the room comfy, but the staff were unfriendly and rude. Every time I asked for anything at the front desk, they looked miserable and angry at me, like it was a 'huge task' to help. There is a bar in the lobby when you come in and the man who runs this was also very rude and cracked Brexit jokes saying we couldn't sit down because of Brexit (not funny and not professional) We ordered 2 coffees from the bar but he told us to leave when one of us got our a sandwich (not from him) even though we had bought 2 coffees. He actually preferred to throw our coffees away rather than have us sit there and eat 1 sandwich which was not his. Also watch out for the massive deposit they take off your credit card when you arrive, which doesn't get refunded until a month later. Despite my bank balance showing this money held, still the staff denied they had done it. I'll be staying central Bucharest next time and the staff need some serious TRAINING in manners.
"Rin hotel Bucharest"
Nice price and gentle staff. Good and well sorted breakfast buffett. Small shops and dental clinic inside . Location not perfect, but shopping mall near by. And taxi prices very fair. If wanna go downtown. Hope. Can come again in spring or summer. Winter very nasty here
