"Great, luxurious resort. Just very little going on there..."
Stayed there in mid-February for business. Hotel is well located approximately 1 hour drive from Downtown Dubai, 45 minutes from Dubai Marina, 15 minutes from Yas Island and another 15 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi. It sits on a man-made canal and decently sized sandy beach, just in front of the Grand Mosque. The spectacular views of the beautiful Mosque lit at night are simply stunning and this experience alone justifies a stay at this hotel. The well manicured grounds, opulent construction and all of the resort facilities are simply luxurious and first-class. Service was impeccable, except for a somewhat slow check in process at main reception. I have Club access and was given the choice of Venetian Village 1 bedroom suite or Club Deluxe room. Even if the Club room is slightly smaller than the suite, Club level located in the main building is much more convenient to access most of the resort facilities and activities. The Venetian Village is a detached area that hosts a number of duplex villa suites and restaurants/bars. It is very well built and has a lot of character, but it was practically empty when I was there. The restaurants get a little busier in the evening and during the weekend, but my feeling is that, unless events are hosted is Abu Dhabi or Yas Island, the entire resort is so massive that it looks almost empty and without a vibe. There were only a few families and business travelers during my stay, and not much going on, so I decided to leave earlier and head back to Dubai for the weekend. The Club Lounge is one of the best I have visited. Very large, panoramic and always extremely well stocked. The Lounge staff, especially Carolina, went above and beyond to make my stay more enjoyable. Rooms are brand new and spacious, with all of the standard amenities and a great balcony overlooking the canal and the beach. Overall, the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi is a great hotel for the money and I would definitely go back with my family for 3-4 days of complete relax.

"Amazing Absolutely Fabulous Hotel,and Staff."
We were treated to a two day magnificent stay courtesy of our son and daughter-in-law,as a birthday present for my husband's 70th birthday. Our room had a magnificent view of the Grand Mosque, which we have visited and is truly unique and spectacular. All staff are so attentive, and welcoming. We visited the Venetian Village, which has a variety of restaurants which has cuisine from the world over. We visited in January, and when we were on our sunbeds we were given bottle of water, then later we had a small glass of juice, lovely touch, which was truly appreciated. There was pianist playing ,who was really good in my view, not fully appreciated though, but a lovely touch. Gardens pristine, we saw garderners every morning going round to make sure everything was ttidy. The last time we were here was on Christmas day 2015 brilliant meal as usual. We hope to have another holiday in September. If you want to go further afield, I would recommend a trip to Al Ain it has truly two magnificent forts to visit. It is cooler than Abu Dhabi, and is called The Garden City. Beautiful a gem.
