Very nice hotel. Very comfortable rooms with heated & fully equipped toilets ;). Professional & kind staff. A little too rare (probably due to taxes & social expenses on labor) Nice swimming pool on the top floor with saunas in the changing rooms
"A Dream Come True - Suite Royale"
Words can’t describe the incredible experience that we had at the Ritz-Carlton, Montreal. Almost a year ago, I booked one of the Executive Suites to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday. A day after my reservation, I was contacted by one of members of the Concierge desk to offer their services in advance and assist me with any requests prior to my stay. I have never experienced this level of attention at any of the 11 Ritz-Carlton properties that we have visited so far. Incredible attention to detail and responses to emails within 24 hours. Prior to my stay, Piero Termini and Simon Blouin provided details about the hotel, made reservations and went above and beyond to make sure that all minor details were completed. Before I continue with my review, make sure that you check the offers that the Ritz-Carlton, Montreal offers during the winter season (usually in January) and book in advance. I thank God for being able to secure after reviewing all their offers, the Royal Suite. The 4700 square feet suite offers all the luxury that you could ever imagine. The technology, expansive views and comfort provided are just a few words that describe the elegance found within the suite. Another fact that makes this hotel out of this world is the service provided by the ladies and gentlemen of the Ritz-Carlton, Montreal. Special thanks to Veronica De Foy, Angela Quatrini, Piero Termini, Simon Blouin and Irene Kritikos. All of them certainly love their job and made our stay unforgettable.
"everything you would expect from a Ritz"
impeccable service, very nice room and surroundings. I would have rated this a 5, except I found the technology annoying after a couple of days. The room has some neat features, but once the novelty wore off, they were plain annoying... ... the blinds for the windows completely black out (excellent!) but they are controlled but a pad on the wall which is fussy to use. the old close them by hand method would be faster and easier ... ... the toilet is one of those high tech Japense hobbies with seat warmer, automatic lid open and close, and features that are, well, for hygiene. having the seat auto open and a lose and flush got annoying in that it required pushing the right button which at night time is hard to see without turning on the light ... ... the room includes and espresso machine, but no decaf. we asked and got some, but it is colour co-ordinated with no label, so weren't really sure what we were getting. ... a light automatically comes on in the night when your feet hit the floor, but is on a timer so won't turn off for a while without hitting the dimmer which is a bit fussy when you're half asleep. I prefer to keep everything dark to minimize how much I wake up and avoid waking my partner up ... ... you get the gist. overall a fantastic place, I'm nit picking ... These things would have no bearing on my desire to stay again ... lovely room, with the luxury you would expect from a Ritz.
I typically spend 75 or more nights on the road each year. In coming to Montreal for business, I chose this hotel due to the reputation and facilities therein. I didn't disappoint! One day ahead of my arrival, I received a personalized email from Veronica specifically reinforcing the details of my stay, welcoming me to the property, and seeking to understand my needs during my stay (transportation, reservations, venues, etc.). I followed this up with a quick phone call and she was exceptionally helpful in providing what was needed. First impressions are so important and this one was first-rate. The Valet service and Doorman attendant greeted me warmly and ensured I was escorted to the appropriate check-in desk. My check in went quickly and efficiently and the gentlemen ensured I was fully apprised of the facilities, operation of the room features, local area, etc. He was truly professional in every respect. The room and facilities are exceptional - truly one of the best hotels I have visited world-wide. It is convenient to the Bell Centre, Metro, local shops, McGill, etc. I can highly recommend the hotel. Upgrade to a Junior Suite or Suite if possible. The rooms are incredibly apportioned with heated wood floors and a marble bathroom, and feel much more like home than a hotel. A Nespresso coffee maker and generous appointments abound. A small television is in the bathroom as well. Also, there is a local market three blocks away (the concierge led me here) that carries a wide variety of products, including local ones, that can provide a nice break from dining out if you are there for a longer stay. Try their award-winning sourdough baguette. It rivals anything I've had in Seattle or San Francisco.
"Always the same ; outstanding!"
Every time I go to the Ritz, particularly in Montreal, I always experience that outstanding service, warmth and attention to details that make such a huge difference in the customer experience. Bravo!
