"Nice hotel for a businesstrip "
It's a nice hotel in a really good spot. Round the corner is the gedachnisch kirche and your are right on top of the ubahn. The room is very comfortable with a Nice bathroom. Only things that could be better; the bed and the heating/cooling. Overall i would recommend the place. It's ideal if you are in town for business.
"My only option"
The hotel is great located near KaDeWe. Breakfast has everything one can hope for (including champagne) and an egg-chef. The team allowed us a suite which is very convenient. The two of us had one bath, two showers and two toilets (sounds too much but is very convenient). Even a small inconvenience was solved in the best way possible! If the world is in peace end of this year I hope to go here again!
This is probably the best 4 stars hotel that I've ever been to! The suite is HUGE! the food is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! And the stuff is very helpful and nice!!! The hotel is near the KaDeWe ( a huge shopping center) and a main SUBWAY station! VERY RECOMMENDING!
A lovely modern hotel in a near perfect location in Berlin. Waling distance to the U Bahn station and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Lobby and bar nice and staff very attentive. As said before the lifts are "rapid", we were on the 16th floor, great views across the city. Breakfast was very good room also excellent, couldn't fault it. Our first trip to Berlin and Germany and i would be very happy to go again!
"Winter city break"
We visited this hotel for a 4 night city break and although it was more expensive than most hotels in the area we felt after reading the reviews that it would be worth paying extra. Check in was quick and efficient and the reception area was large. We booked a deluxe king room and although it was spacious it was very cold and clinical. The flooring was grey laminate and the furniture was white Ikea style with black fixtures and fittings. The room had a single bed ('') as well as a large kingsize bed and this space would have benefited from having a seating area. Unfortunately neither the bed or the pillows were particularly comfortable and the bed squeaked when you sat on it or moved around. There were also only 2 single quilts supplied which did not cover the bed. There were 2 office type chairs to sit on however given the cost and description of this room I would have at least expected a seating area with comfortable seats to relax in. There was a wall mounted TV however the only English channels were Sky News & BBC World News - there were no options to purchase films etc. There was only one socket at the side of the dressing table type area and there was no mirror at the dressing table so if you wanted to dry your hair or put your make up on you had to do so in front of the mirror in the bathroom which was not ideal. Basic amenities were supplied on day one however there was a note saying these would not be replenished! Never before have I stayed anywhere where even sachets of coffee are not replenished and I certainly would have expected this to have been done given how much we paid for this hotel and the 4 star rating it has. The room was immaculate however the glasses that were supplied by the restaurant for room service were not removed or cleaned simply just left on the dressing table area until we left. The hotel was very corporate, impersonal and quite soul less and I felt that the Christmas decorations for a hotel of this size were quite sparse. The breakfast was good quality with plenty of choice and the hotel was located within 5 minutes walk of an underground. Good and bad points to this hotel but on the whole we felt quite disappointed and would not return.
