It is a nice relaxing place. Requires more activities during the day and more night life during the night. In general a good place to relax. People are friendly but language could be an issue. Regards Ramzi
"Great half-term getaway"
Bit late posting this but better late than never. Booked last minute to grab a little sunshine in half-term from the UK. The hotel was quiet as it was almost the end of the season which had good and bad points. Good points were that we were able to use the beach normally reserved for the suites which made a change from the normal pool. Downside was that one restaurant was closed and that the atmosphere in the evening was quieter than it would have been a couple of weeks earlier, I imagine. Having said that, there was always some sort of music to listen to and we were quite happy just chatting and chilling. The room was comfortable and clean. Bed was huge and housekeeping happily changed a pillow for us when one was a little hard. I know people had criticized the buffet but there was always plenty of fresh food from which to choose - fruit, salad, olives etc. - so even though it wasn't "fine dining" it was perfectly good. People's was our favourite place to have lunch or supper. The service was quick and the meals were freshly prepared and full of flavour - particularly the lamb with crispy potatoes. We also ate at Daidala twice. The mezzes were delicious and fish dishes fresh and well-cooked. Helpful staff - particularly Mustafa and Gorkhan (always on the go) at Nox. All drinks are included and they mixed excellent (large) cocktails every evening for us. We pottered to the little town a couple of times and went on the boat trip which was about as much as we wanted to do in this "do-nothing" week. So all in all it was just what was needed; sun, peace, cocktails, close to the airport, friendly staff.
being hosted at Rixos Premium Gocek was definitiely a good choice. The hotel owns all modern facilities and the rooms are just amazing. The stuff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the views from the pool also very nice. . Live music and happy hour everyday at the lobby. Nice Gym, sauna and swimming pool, the hotel is fantastic. The quiet location. Worth going whithout any doubt, very nice for a honey moon or relaxing with family , travelling with friends or family. The service was 5*.
"Wow truely amazing."
Gocek is a beautiful small village set in a valley surrounded by the Taurus mountains it isn't stunning the village but it does have a very unique charm and a very chic feel about it even though there isn't much chic it isn't like Porto Bantus or Paris but it truly has a very unique charm. It has seven marines full of expensive boats the views are amazing the islands are beautiful to look at. It reminded me of Queensland. It is a truly beautiful place and either end it has five star resorts. Rixos premium hotel compliments Gocek its like it was built to fit the style of the village it is Concealed by the natural beauty with its beautifully keep gardens and jetty. It has style and flare in abundance, the staff are polite, caring and work hard don't be fooled by other reviews, its laid back relaxing peaceful tranquility to max. The staff reflect this, but if you ask them for something and they can't help they find a man who can. There very accomadating. The rooms are lovely we got up graded because when we arrived there was a conference of 300plus bankers and our room had a child bed slightly to small for my tall teenager so when the bankers left the Rixos looked after us. The food is good quality it is what it's, the al a Carte restaurants was fantastic fresh fish, good ingredien. If you want Michelin star go to France not Turkey. You would never go hungry salads olives fruit main meals were very varied. The chefs were on hand my daughter regularly had something completely different prepared for her individual tastes and needs. The alcohol I would say is a good standard but I'm not a drinker a vodka and orange at night is my only treat. But others seemed to enjoy the bars and alcohol without much complaint except Turkish wine isn't French yet again but your not in ST Emilion. The little boat that takes you the beach is driven by a young Turkish driver with perfect teeth and the best cheeky smile the views are amazing the journey is like going to a secret island and when your on board on your own with the kids he laughs let you drive the boat and put the music up he is an amazing asset to Rixos you must make him laugh. We enjoyed the little shuttle it was fun. The free boat trip around the islands is amazing and free such a wonderful morning you must do it. It is fantastic. The small friendly waitress who got us ice tea is so sweet, the beautiful polish receptionist with amazing blue eyes so helpful and charmingly sophisticated helped us with everything. As you can tell my children and I has a magical week, I did wish to leave. There are no complaints about this hotel and the resort. It I had to ask them to add anything it would be CNN or Sky news in English on theTV. Use proper napkins in the buffet restaurant more classy and a better standard but only my preference. To visitor I would recommend a translation. App easy to download to help as English and Turkish are so unique. If you go there expecting e eryone to speak perfect queens english staycation is for you. Its Gocek not Dorset If you ask the staff at RP they will help. One last thing mr manager please send your young men to get the bags for guests not the tiny dark haired young woman as she nearly broke in half trying to get my suitcase down the stairs, she tried so hard, but she is the best buggy driver in the whole resort. Spa amazing gym e erything you need and more. Views beach hotel staff whole holiday above every expectation and more. Thank you we had a fantastic time see you next year x Go to Gocek market Sunday morning on the path by the sea to the town get to the little bridge turn right head out of town to the main road brilliant laugh Turkish Del Boys in action. Feel the nutty fluffy cat his mate the dog and the cat that looks like a tiger. Look for the wild chickens on the beach. But relax leave England at Gatwick and take on a Turkish pace of calm relaxation peace and breath taking tranquility you'll love it if you do that. Think your Donald trump stay away it's to charming for brash over the top expectation Brits hyper critical because no. One acknowledged there birthday or ran after them with a tray of drinks go to the manderin and pay bundles for that and be laughed at because your wardrobes M&S but your class is up it's rear. I loved it I will be back again because it was amazing.
"Out of this world, it's a piece of heaven!"
Sorry to take your time but this will be a long review since I am a proffessional traveller/hotelier who looks into all details deeply to expertise in the place properly. We have stayed 2 nights at late October. We had a very warm welcome by Sinem from reception and she provided us very efficient and smooth check-in with introducing hotel facilites. The room was so modern with stylish design and all the equipments works properly. Room was so clean and all room set-up very useful, high speed wi-fi available all around the hotel. They have good selection for live music everynight with nice atmosphere and place is very lively and peaceful. We were so suprised that the range of the hotel overall quality, the hotel offers you personalized boutique service even it is all inclusive hotel. You feel like you are the only one guest with the staff's utmost attention. The manager Cagatay makes our holiday a memorable stay with his personalized care and we felt like we are at the home with his friendly manner. He was assisting us in every stage of our holiday, he went extra mile, thinks further to provide an exceptional satisfaction for their guests. We had an amazing dinner in fish A la Carte restaurant Daidala which is one of the best I have ever seen. Lokum, Grilled Octopus highly recommended, the service and Chef was great. It must be in your Bucket List! There is a private beach which you can access with Boat Shuttle (It takes 5 minutes to go there with stunning view), it is completely private and quite beach. The beach was so peaceful and the hotel offers private cabanas which we had experienced and we pampered ourselves while we spent our day in our private area. All the staff was great, helpful and very kind, the smiles on their faces shown you that the hotel managed very well. In the hospitality business you couldnt provide an exceptional guest satisfaction if you dont look after your staff. Big congrats to management to trained their staff, make them happy to look after their guests' satisfaction. Finally we had a chance to chat with well-known GM Burç and he opened our minds with his world-wide hospitality vision to make difference and keep themselves the best. We were excited and inspired by his hospitality and management style with his guest focused mentality. Thank you for this marvelous experience, great job with great staff, well done! More Tips: - Have a boat trip to nearby islands. (Hotel offers that free of charge) - Spend your day in Pavillion private Cabanas in the beach (It has a reasonable price) - Dont miss the live music performances at the nights - Meet with Cagatay to get his tailor-made recommendations to make your holiday memorable. - Try the pool with salty water - Definetely experience Daidala A La Carte Restaurant - Have a cocktail in People's restaurant at sunsets
