"Brilliant and highly sophisticated "
One of my best experiences with exceptional customer service. Rooms are unusually large with a modern touch. Breakfast and food is from heaven. The copper ceiling in the foyer area is amazing. On top of a hill with city view. Thermal spa, turkish bath and gym facilities brand new, clean and highly efficient.
"Fantastic amenities, Turkish hospitality, and a reasonable price."
Our stay was fabulous. We stayed for three nights, and enjoyed touring Eskisehir (the hotel is an easy walk to the Odunpazari historic area of town). The staff was fabulous at every turn. They were great with our young kids. They took care of our every need. The hotel amenities, including the spa and thermal baths, were a great addition to our trip. Based on our experience, I don't know that I could recommend the hotel enough to anyone looking for a luxury hotel traveling to Eskisehir.
"Maybe I am naive but what has changed!!!"
So I will say it as I see it. I stayed at the rixos on off from 2014-2016. So I am pretty sure I can comment on this subject before I get negative thoughts on this review!! So Tasigo have taken over this hotel. So I read the review for the person who stayed here on the 1st January 2017. Saying this hotel is the best thing ever. WRONG. What refurbishment has happened. Rooms exactly the same. Restaurant exactly the same. Food if not worse. Yes I have taken pictures. My starter was microwaved. Main course was the most expensive and as you can see really not worth it. Half the menu has disappeared. I came for dinner at 7'o clock. Completely empty. Once again picture is included. Not 5* maybe at a best 3* Enjoy people. This is only my view.
"Tasigo newly opened for new year 2017 - Superb!"
The most important thing to begin with is to say that the Tasigo hotel opened on December 30 2016, just in time for new year, after more than 6 weeks renovating, updating, changing staff and re-branding under the new banner from its former Rixos management. While the actual physical location is the same, everything else is updated and so it's a little misleading to read previous reviews of the Risox, as it really a different hotel in many ways. But the good news is this: Tasigo has absolutely got it right. it has taken what Rixos did well and run with it (the luxury, the excellent food, great termal and hamam facilities) and is has definitely scored a hit with first rate customer service and an ambience that hits you as soon as you walk in the front door, from the smartly-dressed doormen to the reception staff who speak impeccable English. They seem genuinely committed to finding out how their new guests are finding the place, and Guest Relations staff are visible everywhere in the hotel chatting with guests and asking for feedback. Hilal and the very handsome Ozman were particularly friendly and welcoming, and made my stay there so very pleasant. With it being new year, there were even hamam-themed gifts (of exfoliating gloves, towel-wraps and even a traditional gilded hamam bowl) handed out, which seemed quite wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, very sound-proof and have the neat little quirk of having the TV hidden behind a mirror panel, so you can't even notice there's a TV on the wall until you turn it on. Internet is lightning fast and free, and the old town with its beautiful historic houses less than a 10-minute walk away. The 'adventure shower' in the spa area is worth the stay at this hotel in itself! I've stayed at many top class resorts in Turkey, and this is out there amongst the very best. For the price, it's outstanding and it's worth a trip to beautiful Eskisehir just to stay here. If I had one critique, and this is so minor, it's signage around the hotel... it's not always clear where the restaurants are, or how to get to the spa, or where the lobby is in relation to elevators when you first arrive...so some nice clear signs will help guests orientate quickly. But, hey, this is the kind of hotel you almost want to get lost in!
"built on top of healing thermal springs"
The location of the hotel is perfect. It overlooks the city of Eskişehir and was built over thermal springs thanks to which you get to have a swim in a hot thermal pool in hotel's spa. Rooms are rather luxuriously fitted and decorated. Staff are well-informed and helpful. The open buffet breakfast could be much better but it is very good nevertheless. We did not eat at the restaurant except for a bowl of soup. Judging from what I ate I think food is not the strongest point of this hotel. The spa on the other hand is marvellous and you get to use the pool and Turkish bath for free. I highly recommend this hotel for stay. Definitely great value for the price they charge.
