"Tasigo newly opened for new year 2017 - Superb!"
The most important thing to begin with is to say that the Tasigo hotel opened on December 30 2016, just in time for new year, after more than 6 weeks renovating, updating, changing staff and re-branding under the new banner from its former Rixos management. While the actual physical location is the same, everything else is updated and so it's a little misleading to read previous reviews of the Risox, as it really a different hotel in many ways. But the good news is this: Tasigo has absolutely got it right. it has taken what Rixos did well and run with it (the luxury, the excellent food, great termal and hamam facilities) and is has definitely scored a hit with first rate customer service and an ambience that hits you as soon as you walk in the front door, from the smartly-dressed doormen to the reception staff who speak impeccable English. They seem genuinely committed to finding out how their new guests are finding the place, and Guest Relations staff are visible everywhere in the hotel chatting with guests and asking for feedback. Hilal and the very handsome Ozman were particularly friendly and welcoming, and made my stay there so very pleasant. With it being new year, there were even hamam-themed gifts (of exfoliating gloves, towel-wraps and even a traditional gilded hamam bowl) handed out, which seemed quite wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, very sound-proof and have the neat little quirk of having the TV hidden behind a mirror panel, so you can't even notice there's a TV on the wall until you turn it on. Internet is lightning fast and free, and the old town with its beautiful historic houses less than a 10-minute walk away. The 'adventure shower' in the spa area is worth the stay at this hotel in itself! I've stayed at many top class resorts in Turkey, and this is out there amongst the very best. For the price, it's outstanding and it's worth a trip to beautiful Eskisehir just to stay here. If I had one critique, and this is so minor, it's signage around the hotel... it's not always clear where the restaurants are, or how to get to the spa, or where the lobby is in relation to elevators when you first arrive...so some nice clear signs will help guests orientate quickly. But, hey, this is the kind of hotel you almost want to get lost in!
"built on top of healing thermal springs"
The location of the hotel is perfect. It overlooks the city of Eskişehir and was built over thermal springs thanks to which you get to have a swim in a hot thermal pool in hotel's spa. Rooms are rather luxuriously fitted and decorated. Staff are well-informed and helpful. The open buffet breakfast could be much better but it is very good nevertheless. We did not eat at the restaurant except for a bowl of soup. Judging from what I ate I think food is not the strongest point of this hotel. The spa on the other hand is marvellous and you get to use the pool and Turkish bath for free. I highly recommend this hotel for stay. Definitely great value for the price they charge.
This is very nice hotel located in Eskisehir. The view from the room is breath taking as it's situated on a hill. Lobby is Hugh , nice gym, good swimming pool. This hotel is 10min drive from Train Station may cost approximate 15 Turkish Lira. Breakfast is usually included in the tariff and they have nice selection of Continental breakfast with fresh fruit. I highly recommends travellers to stay at this place.
"Eskişehir deserves such a luxury hotel"
We stayed at the hotel between the dates 23-25th of September 2016. We arrived the hotel at 11:30 and waited at the well designed lobby approx. 45 minutes. Than we got into the room and it has a nice Eskişehir view. It was very clean and well-furnished. The bed was large enough and very comfortable. The staff was very cheery and helpful as well. We had just breakfast there and it was good. The varieties were enough. Omelet was very nice (just on sunday the hotel was very crowded and there was only one lady for omelet and she was struggling to serve. There must be one more personnel to help her) Location of the hotel is approx. 10-15 minutes to the nearest tram stop. However if the wheather is fine I suggest you to walk from hotel to the city centre. ıt took approx. 20-30 minutes by walk. Taxi may be an option.
"THE BEST GUEST RELATIONS MANAGER"
The hotel location overlooks the whole city of Eskisehir. The view and the cool breezes are spectacular. The rooms are comfortable, but the handicapped facilities need improvement. The accessible room has a wheel in shower, but the water has nowhere to go and floods the whole bathroom even when towels are placed to soak up the water. The light switch in the only accessible bathroom in the hotel is at a very inconvenient location and it's very difficult to go inside with a wheelchair and manage to close the door. None of the swimming pools have a lift, so a disabled person has no way to get in or out of the pools. The inside parking garage has supposed two car handicapped spots, but they are very far from the door instead of being by the door which leads to the elevator. The person who makes the hotel is the Guest Relations Manager, Ms. Aylin Erdem, who greets everyone with a smile and takes the time to listen to any comments or problems the guests may have. She makes each and every guest feel special and welcome in the hotel. She is a great asset to this hotel. The Business Center is terrible. There is no air since the air conditioning doesn't seem to work, but there are four computers to use.
