The hotel is located in the peaceful Playa Paraíso area on the Costa Adeje coast in southern Tenerife with unbeatable views over the Atlantic Ocean and direct access to a small sandy beach. Reina Sofia international airport is just 25 km from the hotel.
Nothing v much to do do outside the hotel except walk along the short promenade. The hotel has lovely pools overlooking the sea. Our standard room was v spacious. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Buffet restaurant was good with great choice and quality.
"Great family half-term break"
We have just had a really lovely week here, the hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere and is tastefully designed throughout. The staff were very friendly and attentive everywhere. We particularly loved our room (233) which was upgraded on arrival to a superior suite, with an enormous panoramic corner balcony with sunset views directly over the sea. You can easily access the beach and new promenade from the hotel, and there is a mini market close by for little essentials. We knew from previous reviews about the lack of kettles and need to pay for fridge access in the room so took our own travel kettle and paid the €10 to use the fridge, a little reluctantly it has to be said! For a 5 star hotel I think fridge and kettles should come as standard really. The only other slight negative was that the heated pool is saltwater which the kids weren't at all keen on, would've been fantastic if the other fresh pool was heated too. But overall we really enjoyed our stay, especially once the rain stopped and the sun came out!
"Surprisingly fantastic "
We are lucky enough to take overseas holidays 8 - 10 times a year and I have to say we have never been fans of buffet style restaurants, the same old meats/fish drenched in olive oil etc but wow did this hotel change that for us ! The quality of the food really is super , steak, ribs, roasted salmon etc with a different theme each evening. We tried the Spanish restaurant and the Italian but the food was so good at the buffet we opted to eat there for most of our stay and with a HB option of €16 a day upgrade it was very good value. The service is superb, Very happy staff who genuinely want to enhance your stay. Special mention to Elena at the pool side restaurant, Daniel on poolside table service and Kelly on the front desk, each went out of their way to make our 9 day stay totally enjoyable. The hotel is in quite a quiet area but the daily free shuttles put on by the hotel, taking you to Costa adeje was a welcome touch. Our room, 721 was also outstanding, space, products and views were amazing. All in all we can't fault the hotel. It was a delightful stay which left us wondering when we can return.
"Third visit another success"
We visited this hotel with our two children for the third time. The first room we had was on the ground floor and a little dark (it was winter) but we asked to change and were given a beautiful sunny room. The strengths of the hotel remain the same - great gardens, nice pools (though we wish the unsalted one was heated, especially in February), decent food, good and flexible kids club. But the main thing remains the staff. We stayed at the Hard Rock next door for two nights, a very different hotel with many strengths too but what that brought home to us is what an efficient and relaxing operation those at the Roca Nivaria provide. I'd also note the area outside does seem to be on the up now the Hard Rock has opened.
"A winter break"
This is the perfect Hotel to have a stay in Winter break, the design and build of the building is superb, plenty of space we NEVER had to queue for a lift, the food selection in incredible, staff helpful and multi lingual. I could nit pick on a couple of things, but that would be churlish to spoi i such a good establisment
