Good location nice suite-would recommend most highly.Comment of F. Patrick , Ireland the 2016-01-08
We had stayed in this hotel before and were so impressed we were happy to return there. The location is perfect for exploring the city but is also only a short distance from the beach. Our room overlooked Constitution Square with a great view and in spite of this it was very quiet at night when the windows were closed. Our only (very small) negative is the coffee machine used for breakfast. No mater what button you press...for an espresso, café solo etc...all the coffee comes out the same and it's extremely weak. We gave up on the coffee and chose tea instead but it would be so nice to get a good cup of coffee with the breakfast. Overall a very enjoyable stay and undoubtedly we will return in the futureComment of H. Liz , United Kingdom the 2014-07-28

"Great location but take you earplugs"
The hotel is very conveniently located. Most of Malaga's attractions are nearby as are hundreds of bars and restaurants. We stayed in a corner suite. It had superb views of Calle Marques de Larios, Malaga's main pedestrianised thoroughfare. The room was well furnished and everything in it worked ok. There are a couple of things about the hotel of which the traveller needs to be aware before booking The street had a constant procession of very noisy revellers throughout the whole of the three nights we were there. They were still going home 'in great spirits' at 5 - 6 a.m. every morning. The tall buildings either side of the road funnel the sound upwards and the glazing in our suite did little to deaden the noise, so if you intend to get some sleep whilst you are there, be aware. We found a combination of earplugs, white noise (sea sounds) from our ipads and turning the aircon fan up high, just about worked There is virtually no public area in the hotel in which to sit and relax - a small reception area and that is all. There is only one bar - on the roof, so nowhere to have a cosy indoor drink. Strangely the bar was cash only - we could not charge drinks to our room. It's a boutique hotel - designed for sleeping in (if you can) and nothing else. If you're a young party animal its great. If your a retired couple like us you might want to find somewhere quieter (or better sound insulated) with better amenities.
"Good central hotel but issues with street noise"
Very pleased with the hotel/ room,/central location , etc. However when the room got too warm we could not open the verandah doors because of high level of noise from the street below, every night. Therefore we did not sleep comfortably. There was no air conditioning We stayed in March and can only imagine that the rooms would be especially hot in summer
"Perfect location and lovely hotel"
Having stayed in a Room Mate hotel in Madrid, we decided on the Larios for our recent visit to Malaga. We knew the location was perfect, having visited the city before, and we were not disappointed by the hotel itself. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable and everything was spotless. The breakfast buffet is very good value (we had included it with the room but I think it was 8.95 if you booked it separately). As we new, the hotel is perfectly located for all the main sites - probably the best located hotel in the historic centre in our view. There are loads of nice bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel and it is only a short walk from the marina and then on to the beach. The airport bus drops you off just opposite calle larios so it is only a short walk up to the hotel. The rooftop bar and terrace is a very nice space with great views including the castle, cathedral and surrounding areas - even better in the warmer weather I would imagine! Malaga is a lovely city and we will be returning again for another visit - we will definitely be booking this hotel again.
lovely hotel right in the centre of Malaga close to everything. Beautiful room, we overlooked the main Calle Larios, we had a small balcony, which let us really appreciate the view of the main street which was all decked out for the film festival which was on. We booked room only as there are loads of small cafes to have breakfast at close by so cannot rate the quality of breakfast. When you get there you are dropped off at the Plaaza Constitution and just have to walk round the corner a small way to get to the hotel entrance, which we found easily. After wandering about you quickly realise how close everything is, looking on a map you would think that there is quite a walk between everything but not so, we really enjoyed our visit to the city, with the friendly people there. I highly recomend staying at this hotel, Reception staff were lovely, room was good, comfiest bed I have ever slept in. We visited the rooftop bar a couple of times, great place, great view of the cathederal especially when lit up at night.
"Fabulous Reception staff"
As a party of 3 we enjoyed a fantastic 4 night stay in this ideally located hotel at the beginning of March. We would highly recommend this Hotel as a must stay for a visit to this beautiful city as all attractions are on your doorstep. We would like to commend the Hotel staff in particular Begona who is one of the welcoming faces in Reception. We single out Begona in particular as she made us feel special by organising a picnic breakfast for us when we were leaving early for a day trip to Gibraltar. Thank you Begona it was delicious! We will be visiting this City again and look forward to staying in Room Mate Larios. One of our group reviewed and may have given the impression that we were unhappy.. This is certainly not the case.
