Room Mate Leo is located in Calle Mesones, in the heart of Granada’s commercial area: this pedestrian street is just 300 metres from the cathedral and the main monuments.
The famous and charming Albaicín district is 10-minute walk from Room Mate Leo and very close to the Plaza Bib-Rambla, where you will find several bars and cafés. Calle Navas street with typical tapas bars is also very close to the hotel.
The buses leaving to the Alhambra and Granada Airport stop 400 metre away.
Un buen hotel, bien situado y con un trato excelente. Os lo recomiendo si vistáis Granada.Comment of S. Juan Manuel , Spain the 2015-10-22
"Fabulous staff, location and facility"
We are new to the Room Mate hotel group, but if the others are as charming and welcoming as Granada's Room Mate Leo, we'll be devoted returning guests. William at the front desk was beyond amazing- so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. And because of his suggestion, and the dinner reservation he made, our Valentine's dinner at La Estrella was as special as our stay at Leo. Our room was lovely- clean, beautiful in design and extremely comfortable. The breakfast served there is just delicious, and the view from the deck of the Alhambra was incredible- both night and day. Staying here is the best choice.
"Excellent location and quality of service"
The room was quite small, but large balcony with sun loungers. Spacious bathroom, a separate air conditioner in it. Cozy, clean and pleasant. There is a kettle in the room. Thank you for a wonderful holiday
"Pleasant stay with a few housekeeping issues"
The hotel is in a good location especially once you figure out the shortcut that goes by the Cathedral to Albaicin. You're in the middle of a shopping area which is a mix of name brands and small businesses. The downside is that Albaicin is a lot hills so it's a better choice if you plan to spend a lot of time there and/or are staying just long enough to visit the Alhambra. I had a double room which was commodious as was the bathroom. It was nicely furnished. I was surprised that the TV offered no English channels since their hotel in Madrid did. And, I would have appreciated if the staff had mentioned the local bus service that ran loops to Alhambra. I could have done without the panicked sprint uphill to avoid missing my reservation to visit the Nazari palace. I appreciate being advised so I can make a choice rather then being told "it's a quick walk". Ha. The reason that I have not given it a higher score is due to a couple of housekeeping problems. On the first day, the staff re-hung a wet towel that I used to wipe up water from on the floor and left in the sink. On the second day I discovered that the staff had rinsed a spoon I had used for yogurt and placed it back in the coffee caddy. I knew because the spoon handle was still dirty. I made the reception aware of these problems, They promised me reforms and compensated me for the inconvenience. It was unsettling. I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on it but can tell you that there are a number of near by choices.
"Fantastic location and excellent staff. But needs a little updating."
First of all we like staying at the Room Mate Hotels - the beds are always the best - very comfortable. We like the linens and the toiletries are high quality and natural. The location of the Room Mate Leo in Granada could not be better. Fantastic location. The staff is excellent. We enjoyed are stay and recommend the hotel however we thought the room was a little small. We booked the Executive and it was a little cramped. We would have prefered the Executive with Terrace but it was already booked. We also felt that the hotel is starting to show a little wear and could use just a little updating. However - it was a very good stay - location, bed comfort, lovely staff that attended to all our needs. Recommend.
"Great location, good staff, but a poor shower, and an uncomfortable bed"
This hotel is in a great location on a shopping street in the centre of the town, close to many restaurants, and within 10 minutes walk of the Alcabin. I stayed here for two nights, and the English speaking front desk staff were friendly and helpful. My stylish room on the 4th floor did not have an external window, so I was not troubled by street noise - instead it overlooked the hotel's central atrium, where breakfast was served each morning, so I was woken by the noise of staff setting up things before 7am. The mattress on the queen bed was of the memory foam type, which was uncomfortable due to sinking into it. There was a narrow desk and a chair, but almost half the space on the desk was taken by a small TV and a minibar snacks display, there were no available power sockets unless I unplugged the TV or the desk light, and the air conditioning vent was directly above the desk, which made it very cold to sit there. The shower was a narrow jet of water, with unreliable temperature, in a tight cubicle. The free wifi performed well, and the room had a safe into which you might be able to squeeze a 15" (38cm) laptop. A kettle with tea & coffee was provided. Breakfast is served until noon, with a small selection of hot and cold items. The hotel has an agreement for reduced rate parking at Plaza Puerto Real, which is a 10 minute walk away. I would not stay at this hotel again, due to the poor shower and the uncomfortable bed.
