Rising in the historic centre of Mexico City, Room Valentina is located in the very heart of the "Zona Rosa", populated by a lot of boutiques, clubs, shops, the "Monumento a la Revolución" and the Museum "Ripley". The airport Benito Juarez is well connected to the hotel by different means of transport.
Very nice hotel experience!!Comment of K. SHIHWEI , Taiwan the 2016-11-07
If you want to hotel that is centrally located to all of the things that the Zona Rosa district has to offer, including great, inexpensive restaurants, and the gay nightlife, I would suggest this hotel. It is affordable and comfortable, and right in the heart of it all.Comment of S. John , United States the 2016-01-16
"Great hotel for the Zona Rosa area"
I've stayed here several times over the years. The thing I love about the hotel is its proximity to all the nightlife and restaurants. It's also walking distance to many tourist sites. The neighborhood is very nice and pleasant. Yes, it does get loud at night on the street because there's various bars and clubs on the street. If you want a quiet and subdued hotel, this is not the hotel or area you're looking for. Also, most of the bars and club are LGBT so that's another factor you need to consider when staying at this hotel. The staff are really accommodating, and while I have had some small issues, like the heater not kicking in, they've always fixed the problem or moved my to another room. And they're okay with friends visiting the hotel for socializing before the night out. If you plan to have a lot of friend over, the Suite has a good-sized living room area and dining area with a separate bedroom. Most of the rooms are a good size as well. I've had friends over in the regular rooms and suits. Overall, the Room Mate is a great value for the price. Yes, there are nicer, fancier hotels but they're are a little bit farther away and more expensive.
"Spacious, but poor facilities and services"
The good: spacious room; comfortable bed; great location. The bad: Thermostat didn't work, called for maintenance three times and never got anyone to help. A guy came in, but didn't actually fix anything. They ended up bringing some sort of a portable heater, which also didn't work; The shower takes ages to adjust the temperature; The bathroom lock was broken; A couple of friends who were staying in another room (for two) also complained that they'd only bring one towel.
"Good value and location"
Great location in the Zona Rosa, off Paseo de Reforma - and for a very reasonable price. Our room was spacious, with twin beds and room for an L-shaped sofa. Beds were very comfortable. Although Amberes is a noisy street, you couldn't hear it. There is a basic gym on the 1st floor. Reception staff friendly and helpful. We were a bit lazy opted to pay for the breakfast (150 pesos) which offered the usual hot and cold choices.
The location was VERY good, but he street where is at is insanely noisy. One block away and it would be perfect. We had to sleep with ear plugs! The design was cool, but it's very badly maintained. The stuff was very helpful and polite which was a plus. They were always willing to help. Not sure I would stay here again.
"Design boutique hotel"
The hotel room is really good, the decoration is not conventional, minimalist and modern, bright colors... it can shock more traditional people. The hotel is very stylish and in the middle of zona Rosa, so if you are not comfortable with LGBT community maybe it is not the best option... Breakfast was simple but very tasty.
