Rising in the historic centre of Mexico City, Room Valentina is located in the very heart of the "Zona Rosa", populated by a lot of boutiques, clubs, shops, the "Monumento a la Revolución" and the Museum "Ripley". The airport Benito Juarez is well connected to the hotel by different means of transport.
Very nice hotel experience!!Comment of K. SHIHWEI , Taiwan the 2016-11-07
If you want to hotel that is centrally located to all of the things that the Zona Rosa district has to offer, including great, inexpensive restaurants, and the gay nightlife, I would suggest this hotel. It is affordable and comfortable, and right in the heart of it all.Comment of S. John , United States the 2016-01-16
The room was furnished with a modern touch. It was quite big with plenty of space for the luggages and it included a sofa and a lot of different types of lights. It was on the 5th floor so we slept well and we didn't hear any noise from the bars in the area. The hotel is in a good area to walk around the city and it also felt very safe. The breakfast was perfect for any taste, including fresh juice, fruit, eggs, pastries, sauces and cold meat. I would definitely go back there!
"excellent location and vey convenient at every level"
Valentina is a super nice hotel, with a great staff and all what you need for you stay in town very well located either for business as for leisure. It is true that the rooms could have the minibar serviced and make sure water is available. They fall short in this kind of amenities. Breakfast and the cafeteria are very nice.
"A good hotel in the city center"
Nice hotel with an interesting design (like most room mate hotels) A bit old actually, but nice and cosy lots of facilities around You can ask for a plug adaptor at the reception But be careful, the district around is a bit strange, full of sex shops )
Valentina in Mexico City was the first stop at the start of my trip to Mexico. Writing "Room Mate Valentina" as my address in Mexico caused some confused at Immigration, as they thought I was coming to live here! The hotel is in the Zona Rosa, which is also Mexico City's gay area. It's a clean, safe part of town. There's lot of bars and restaurants close by, and it can be quite noisy until very late at night. The noise could be heard in my room. My opinion of the Valentina is mixed.... It's bright and modern, but it's clear that the rooms are quite a few years old now. Staff are friendly. The restaurant looked nice, but I didn't use it so I can't really comment. There's a "gym" but it's very very small. The staff don't pay much attention to it - sometimes there were no towels, water, or paper cups. There's no information in the room, so you have to ask about everything. Wifi is reasonable, but it drops out a lot. Also, I have quite a few devices, and there's a limit on how many you can use. But the function to remove devices didn't work, so I was unable to use my laptop as I'd connected other things first. There's complimentary water, but only for the first night (of a five night stay!) I didn't realise this, as it's a bit unusual to only provide it for one night (what's the point') so every day I asked for water. It was on the bill when I checked out (they removed the charge when queried). I had to ask every day for the tea and coffee to be replenished. Either the maid forgot or they're only provided for the first night'! For 3 out of the 5 nights, all the towels and the bath mat were removed when the room was cleaned, but no clean ones were left! Are they only provided for the first night too'!!! On two occasions I asked for towels (and tea/coffee/water!) before going to bed, but nothing arrived. Once, I was told they don't do room service! So, upon waking, rather than have a coffee and a shower, I had to get dressed and go downstairs in the (incredibly slow) lift to beg. The hotel has a taxi service. He's a lovely guy but be warned! He's three times the price of a regular cab. This review sounds more negative than I feel about the place. It's an okay hotel. The price is fair, and I'd possibly stay again if I were in town.
I originally chose this hotel because of the location. The location is perfect but in addition the location, the hotel rooms are quite cozy with a unique geometric design style. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and quite helpful.
