Rising in the historic centre of Mexico City, Room Valentina is located in the very heart of the "Zona Rosa", populated by a lot of boutiques, clubs, shops, the "Monumento a la Revolución" and the Museum "Ripley". The airport Benito Juarez is well connected to the hotel by different means of transport.
Very nice hotel experience!!Comment of K. SHIHWEI , Taiwan the 2016-11-07
If you want to hotel that is centrally located to all of the things that the Zona Rosa district has to offer, including great, inexpensive restaurants, and the gay nightlife, I would suggest this hotel. It is affordable and comfortable, and right in the heart of it all.Comment of S. John , United States the 2016-01-16
I originally chose this hotel because of the location. The location is perfect but in addition the location, the hotel rooms are quite cozy with a unique geometric design style. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and quite helpful.
"LOVED RM Valentina!"
We thoroughly enjoyed walking the always bustling Amberes street outside the hotel. Spring for a Junior Deluxe suite to get the really cool pink bed and cool night lights. This hotel was perfectly located to do everything we wanted to do in Mexico City. The front desk staff was always friendly and accommodating. The lobby always had cool music. The lobby's breakfast buffet and cozy cafe and self serve tea and coffee was great. The bathrooms are quite nice with big showers and unique toiletries provided. Challenges: There are several bumping bars downstairs but we stayed on the 11th floor and weren't bothered by sound at all. There are multiple sex toy shops nearby haha if that offends you. That might sound unappealing, and yet, I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Each morning, the streets are clean and busy with well dressed people walking to work. There are several cool neighborhoods next to Zona Rosa. I love Room Mate Valentina and will certainly consider all Room Mate hotels in the future.
"LGBT Friendly "
Came to Mexico City to celebrate New Years Eve and check out what the city had to offer. Room Mate Valentina is very well located just a few blocks "El Angel de la Independencia" and across the street from most LGBT bars. The neighborhood is totally safe with police officers on every corner. The room was really comfortable with high speed internet, breakfast and a friendly and helpful personal.
"Lovely hotel, great staff"
Loved this place. Comfy bed and great spot in Zona Rosa. I left something behind after checking out and didn't release until the next day - they'd hung onto it for me and were able to return it no worries. Staff were lovely and this area of DF is fun- Central without being in the middle of it all like the Zocalo.
"The Good. The Bad. And the Really Awful "
Ok. Let me preface this by saying i really wanted to like this property since i had a very good experience with their sister property in Spain. But . . . Good: Free wifi that is reliable and the staff are very polite. My room was spotless and the daily cleaning was consistent. Plenty of hot water and string pressure in the shower. The price seemed like a bargain at the time. Lol Bad: The standard room was very minimalist: No alarm clock; no coffee maker; only 1 bottle of water - never replaced; no iron. The breakfast was very minimal but average quality. Do NOT waste your $$. There are plenty of coffee places right outside the door. No interaction with staff except who are you again. Lol. There were only 7 channels on TV. All were Spanish. AWFUL: Noise! Loud noise snd i was on a top floor. Nothing usually bothers me at night but starting around 8 pm to at least 2 am the music from the nearby clubs was too loud to ignore. It was that loud low bass beat that was constant mixed with shrieks from drunk patrons. It gets better. The last night there a new couple checked in next door and proceeded to scream in the halls and their room punctuated with door slams. The final straw was the lack of attention to guest safety. I guess they were painting some rooms during the day. The fumes stayed in the halls and even in my room until late at night. Eyes were running and a serious headache. No notice ahead of time and no fans in the hallway. Complete lack of regard for guests. Avoid this place. There are too many options nearby. I would recommend the NH on Livermore about 3 blocks over. The Roommate brand is inconsistent at best. It is unfortunate because i prefer smaller quirky properties.
