"Overnight as a couple"
My husband goes to this hotel often on business and this time i went on our way back home overnight. Its a funky hotel in its design, including features in the room! Bed was ok, but i hate these single eiderdowns. Good showers, but...now they dont give samples of creams but large dispensers! BAD lighting in the bathroom, could hardly see doing my make up. Overall the hotel is a bit dark. Lacks a cosy feel, as in areas they could maybe put flowers' Low lighting can be ok, but not so dark. It has a disco feel this place. Hard to find lights on the actual night tables, if you turn the main off, you cannot turn on the switch in the toilet at night! As it is a modern hotel; PUT a coffee machine!
"Worst hotel ever"
Without doubt, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and not fit for purpose. Needs to decide whether it is a nightclub or a hotel as it clearly cannot handle both. I could hear loud bass sounds all evening from my room and by about midnight I decided to complain. I worked out the music was coming from the stairwell which backed on to our room. Rang reception and was told the music would be turned off. It wasn't. Rang again 20 minutes later - same story. Again, no change. Eventually by around 1am, I got out of bed and went down to reception. The explanation' "These are the noises of the hotel." Sorry, but this is meant to be a 5 star hotel - I am shocked at the lack of concern for paying guests. If there is going to be music IN AN EMPTY STAIRWELL at all hours there needs to be adequate soundproofing, not paper-thin walls. I was offered a change of room - not very convenient at 1am with my partner trying in vain to sleep - but we took it and moved all our things. I could still hear the bass from this room although at a quieter volume, but be aware THERE APPEAR TO BE NO QUIET ROOMS AT THIS "hotel" at all. When I requested a refund in the morning I was told this was impossible as I paid in advance via another site. I was offered a free breakfast which I did not have time for, but I found both the receptionist and manager disingenuous and they did not really seem to care about the problem, even though this cannot be the first time they have heard about it! To top all this off, the standard was poor and the finish was the worst I have ever seen at a 5 star hotel - chipped sink; poor paint jobs; damaged skirting boards and marks on the glass surface in the bathroom. Also, the apparent €29 conditioner in the shower does nothing. But at least they have a sense of humour - €5 for a tiny packet of crisps was described as a "steal" which I found hilarious.
"Too cool for school'"
Beautiful reception, fab glass of complementary sparkles on arrival, very helpful staff. I don't know I just felt like a square peg in a round hole' Well after that they know how to charge, €35.00 for two G & T's, and only to leave the bar smelling like an ashtray. Come one Germany it's the 21st century, smoking in a bar is just not acceptable anymore!! Note to management - it's not cool, let the smokers go outside. I felt the cleanliness of the room lacking, however it was comfortable. My biggest gripe was the fact there was no hot water for a shower in the evening, it can be only described as warmish. We left on the morning of Jan 1st, there had been a big party in the lobby, smokehouse (bar), restaurant the night before, however by 11am that morning the place still looked as though a bomb had hit it, balloons in lifts, floors unwashed. Not very 5 star. Could be worse. Could be a lot better. Remember smoking is not cool, the schoolhouse bell is ringing.
"Repeat client of this great hotel with a great spa on the roof"
We've been going to Roomers frequently with my wife, leaving the kids with the grand-parents : a perfect place to relax on the superb top spa, and base to visit Frankfurt's museums by the river. Very nice lobby and restaurant (but we indulge on the room service).
"Stylish, cool hotel but not a 5 star feeling!!!"
We stayed for one night and booked a deluxe double room for 250 eur per night. We found a bath room without tooth paste and brushes, as well as not enough cosmetic tissues, we found here a nearly empty box. Whether or not you like the smell of the shower gel and bodylotion is kind of a matter of taste...we did not like it! For us it smelled like kind of a lumber jack parfume... what we really disliked was the fact that there obvouisly was a defect with the flow in the shower...it really smelled disgusting...when we came back to our room in the night the bathroom smelled like a sewage plant!! Of course it was midnight we were not keen of changing the room. When checking out the next morning we told the receptionist the problem and she kindly apologised for it - but what we would have expected would be, instead of offering us a coffee for free, reducing maybe our invoice of more than eur 600 we payed for that night in the room with the stinky bath room... Its not the service we are used to experience in a five star hotel! Not at all!!! Bar, restaurant, dinner, spa is all very nice and the staff in the bar and the restaurant are at high class service level.. But... When spending a night in Frankfurt again, we probably would not choose the roomers again as we do not think it has earned a five star status!
