"Poor design over function"
I’m afraid my list of minuses, outweighs my list of pluses with this hotel… Bench seat at the desk, very hard to use Room very dark Bathroom very dark, very easy to see smudges and marks, would be hard to clean I suspect All surfaces show finger smudges Luggage position behind the door is impractical Desk power hard to find Shower floods the room before you can get in and close the door No way to plug the sink Really hard to use bathroom tap Central lighting, impossible to isolate areas Harsh spot lights over the desk area Imposing front door to the hotel which doesn't exactly welcome you in However; very polite, smiley reception staff Good location err, that’s it…
"Poor design taste, small rooms"
I stayed here one night on a business trip. I found the hotel oddly dark with odd furniture, all in all public areas and rooms resemble more those of a pleasure house than ones of a four stars hotel. My room was very small and not very clean. I had dinner in the restaurant which was probably the highlight of my stay, decent food but the wine list by the glass was absolutely not at par with expectations. I think the closeby Grand Whyndam and InterContinental are better choices for a business trip, while if you are up to having fun probably Roomers offer a more original experience.
"Horrible, Rude staff, inconsiderate towards guest, the worse vacation ever."
If you are in Frankfurt for business and care less about treatment, then this hotel might work for you, since it does have a lot of conference space, other than that......the staff is rude, we had to leave a 1000 euro deposit, half in cash mandatory, after prepaying our hotel online and paying over 3000 euros in Expedia, we have stayed in hundreds of hotels in so many cities, much nicer and upscale properties, never we have had to leave a 1000 euros with front desk staff. The AC did not work, nobody ever cared to fix this situation or even offer a room change, the door man not once offer to open the door for us. The area around the hotel is horrible with homeless people all around it, and it smell like piss in the mornings. We tried spending as little time as possible in the hotel. The worse vacation stay ever, it made us hate Frankfurt.
"Style over substance, not 5* unfortunately"
Dark, mysterious and a little fun but look a little closer and sadly this hotel seems more hype than hip. To be honest I was going to give this hotel a '3' rating but the copy of Playboy next to the GQ and Vogue in the room was worth an extra point for originality - have not seen that in a hotel room before! Unfortunately the hotel interiors are tired and the low mood lighting no doubt covers more than just the dents and scuffs in the furniture. Stains on the 'clean' bathroom slippers and a 3* laundry experience, takes the shine off what is otherwise a well located hotel, with friendly staff.
"Perfect for Business"
I stayed at this hotel last week for a trade show. It's located close to Messe ( exhibition center), and you can go walking in some 15 minuts. Nice facilities and really very good restaurant with confortable terrase.. Bar área has great atmosphere as well.
