Great place great location! Fabulously helpful staff. A real home from home. Definitely the best place to stay in Manchester. I have stayed in all of the major hotels in the city centre and an apartment is far preferable.
"Lovely place to stay"
I stayed here for two nights with my partner. We've stayed here before in a Grande Studio and this time in a Liberty Suite. Th liberty suite was very nice, including a small toilet room, a separate shower room (encased in glass), a kitchenette including dishwasher and a work desk, and the bedroom / living room with a nice bed and sofa and coffee table. Firstly, I'm not a fan of having a shower room separated my glass (I like a bit more privacy!), however you still had a shower curtain and it was very nice! If it was a smaller apartment, maybe then I'd take some issue with it. However in this room, I quite liked it. Whilst we didn't use the kitchenette much, we had an issue in which the top shelf of the dishwasher was not on properly so we couldn't use it. I called reception late at night to let them know, and they came up, took a look and tried to fix it, however couldn't. She did offer to wash our stuff for us but I said not to worry. However not having a dishwasher, there's no draining board to put the dishes, which meant I was washing one by one, then drying and putting them away. The tv was a good size and included free view, however we brought an amazon fire tv stick with us which we used. We booked through their website which was cheaper and offered faster wifi using a separate network in the hotel, which we found was fine for streaming stuff from Netflix. The bed was fine, maybe a tad small since we had just come from another hotel with a king size bed, however it was very comfy. The toilet room was very small and has a small sink in there (there was a bigger, nicer sink in the shower area). It was sufficient, however it could have done with a mirror in there in my opinion. One bug bearer I have with hotels (Roomzzz included) is the cheap toilet paper. Please hotels, pay a little bit more! There's also a free grab and go section in reception for each morning where you can get some hot and cold drinks, some pastrys, fruit etc which we liked. We would certainly stay again, the staff were friendly and it's in a great location and a great price, especially since you'd pay more for a normal hotel room with no breakfast included and a room not half the size of the apartments here. Thank you Roomzzz for a lovely stay!
"Couple of nights for a couple of gigs"
Second stay at this hotel/ apartment, third at roomz. So far Manchester roomz is so much better than Chester! Stayed here as its very close to city center and close to gig venues, perfect for what we needed and when there wasn't much else open (other than a greasy kebab place) I easily grabbed a few bits from the 24 hour shops and made something in the kitchenette which was handy . Love the building and the room layouts, last time we had a much bigger bathroom, this time it was far tighter but still adequate. Staff are all lovely and friendly, rooms clean, and I'm already booked to go back! Totally recommend this place :)
"Never disappoints "
Just back from a two night stay, this was our third time at roomzzz and it never lets us down. Every year around this time we travel over to do some shopping and to celebrate my birthday . The location is perfect for xmas markets too. This time we stayed in room 505 one of the loft suits. Gorgeous room, especially the spiral staircase leading to the big double bed. Don't really have a view over Manchester with the loft suits but the huge sky lights are brilliant. We decided to make the most of the stunning bathroom and ran a bubble bath on the first night, we soon discovered a leak, water pouring out of a pipe under the bath. We rang reception (around 10pm) and within minutes a lovely gentleman was fixing the problem. He couldn't of been more apologetic, supplied us with a pile of fresh towels and offered us a free late check out. Although this halted our pamper session I have to say the staff dealt brilliantly with what could have been a very stressful situation (and probably was for the gentleman). The following day the lady on reception asked us what time we would be venturing out so an engineer could go in to check the pipes. On spending our second day in Manchester eating our body weight in food from the xmas markets, we returned and decided to run another bubble bath as our first was quickly halted. To our joy the leak was no more. A lovely lush bubble bath with a glass of wine watching TV which is built into the tiles above the bath. Regardless of the leak on the first night, this did not stop us from enjoying this place. The staff are always friendly and the rooms are always clean. We will be back again next year.
"Lovely Place to Stay! :)"
We stayed for 2 nights and the accommodation was really great - lovely and clean - beds were fab - bathroom excellent and really nice fluffy white towels. There is a kitchen area with microwave, dishwasher, fridge etc: which is really handy if you want a cold drink. Nice TV - all in all a good place to stay - we would definitely stay there again when in Manchester. It was well situated for the Christmas Market and night life. The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. There was even a continental style breakfast counter in the reception area. And I understand ours was only a smart room - apparently the suites are even better!! :)
