"Central location vintage style hotel in the very center"
Central location, very nice atmosphere, helpful staff, but very poor soundproof in rooms. The restaurant is OK, but rather expensive, especially wine list. Mind that currently there are construction works just nearby the hotel, which you will hear despite majority of the rooms are to the yard.
"Hotel accommodation in Saint Petersburg"
This is a wonderful old hotel with all the modern amenities. It is warm and the staff very friendly and sweet. It is close to the Hermitage as well as excellent restaurants. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
The most helpful and friendly staff I have ever encountered. Comfortable quiet room. Great facilities. Gorgeous restaurant which I unfortunately left til the last day to try. Never mind will know for next time.
Group of 6 stayed at Rossi Boutiq Hotel for 5 nights, we fell in love with this hotel at first sight and it did not disappoint us when we checked in, Reception staff was curteous and check-in was fast. Rooms were clean and staff of the hotel were frienly and made us feel at home when we returned from our sightseeing trip. We will definately stay at Rossi if we have chace to visit St Petersburg again.
"Mirror mirror on the wall"
A really lovely hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious. It was a little hot for us though. We kept the AC on most of the time. My only complaint is whilst there was a dressing table, which had a bar of 3 sockets for electrical items, the mirror (a great big ornately beautiful one) as no where near. Neither was there a socket near the mirror. How is a girl supposed to dry and style her hair. In fairness there was a hairdryer in the bathroom but in a word it was useless, especially for my thick shoulder length hair. My daughters room was the same. The only mirror in there was in the bathroom, she didn't have another mirror at all, not even in the wardrobe, to check her self out before she left the room. Other than that it was fine with helpful and informative staff who all spoke very good English. My Russia embarrassingly being very limited to a few words. It did improve whilst we were there however. The location was good we were within a 5 minute walk from Nevsky Prospect and there were a couple of coffee shops and restaurants around. Again with English speaking staff and menu's which were translated also. We didn't eat in the hotel we found the restaurant and bar to have little atmosphere. We tried the breakfast once only and were sadly disappointed at the quality of the food. This was the first time I have ever seen all white scrambled eggs. There are some lovely places to eat outwith the hotel before you set off for the day so not a problem. The spar was very tempting but there was so much to see in St Petersburg and we managed a great deal on our visit. All in all, YES we would go back there. Perhaps in the winter when we would appreciate the heating. However we would skip the breakfast.
