"Nice hotel in the heart of Riga's Old Town"
Close to major attractions in the heart of Riga's Old Town. Friendly staff, Interesting room design, nice dining hall for breakfast - it looks quite Gothic, good breakfast and worth for money. Walking distance to the Bus & Tramp stops.
Hotel answered for our expectations. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom is big with bathtub and bed was good to sleep. Service was great in reception, but when we go to bar we have to wait for a moment to service. Breakfast was sufficient. We use bus to get hotel and back to airport. Bus number 22 stops couple hundred meters away from hotel.
"Good but not a five star hotel"
I visited this hotel in May for four nights. It has a very central location in the Old Town of Riga, so it is good for touring the town. Appearance was a bit mixed. Lobby and the restaurant are very stylish but the room itself was very dated and rather basic. Especially the bathroom. This was rather stark contrast on the fact that the hotel advertises itself as five star. The bed however, was good. Despite dated looking, I had no complaints on the cleanliness, as the room was tidy. The room had a TV and a minibar fridge but there was no safe deposit box at all. Breakfast was good and service was friendly and helpful. Luggage was carried to the room and a turndown service with complimentary chocolate and bottled water was included. A downside with this hotel is that is located next to a square which has open air restaurants and terraces that are quite noisy and which stay open until very late. If you don't like noise, be sure to request a room that is not facing the square, since then the noise level doesn't get too loud.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Great location in Old Town. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is fine. Restaurant is currently closed but we got 10% off another local restaurant. Would recommend doing Hop on hop off bus tour to get orientated. The skyline bar in the Radisson is worth a visit as are the KGB building (do the tour for €5 each) and the Museum of Latvian occupation. Would also recommend the Lido restaurant. Good buffet food. The Queens pub opposite do the best hot mulled wine/rum drinks I've had.
"Central, good hotel"
Nice rooms, clean and ok beds. Too large pillows though and no heating on the bathroom floor. But very friendly staff in the reception. central; in the old town. Breakfast was good, although the staff at breakfast was not so friendly.
