"the worst hotel, so disappointed"
the power stopped, which i've never experienced before. the water stopped, also which i've never experienced in my life. and then yellow dirty water is running.(it's horrible) i called the hotel service and the staff said "it's normal. Thank you." and hung up.('') I think at least you should say "sorry" even though "it is not your fault" . You could be better. Anyway The worst hotel, the worst service. so disappointed. remind that the name of hotel has been changed to "royal tulip rio". be careful 체크인 하자마자 전기끊김 샤워중 물끊김 다시 나오는 물은 찌꺼기 섞인 녹물이었음. 프론트 서비스 최악. 절대 절대 비추임 참 이름바꿔서 royal tulip rio 호텔임. 잘 피해다니길
I stayed for 12 nights after Christmas with my husband. We were very impressed by the staff, they were all so nice and always answered our questions with a smile, the rooms are big and very clean, although every room has a balcony there are no chairs and table so we can sit and enjoy the beautiful view we had, so we asked for it and when we got back from the beach to our surprise we had two chairs and a table, thank you, we spent many wonderful evenings just listening to the sound of the ocean. The breakfast was delicious and with a big variety. I want to specially thank Gilcimar for his attentiveness toward all are questions and his good advices, you sir are a real gentleman and we thank you for that, at the beach there was Vincent who is so so nice, always made sure we had chairs and a parasol and would always ask if we needed anything, thank you,I loved this hotel and its staff we will definitely go back. Thank you Royal Tulip for an unforgettable vacation. Olga & Jorge
"Bad post service"
i stayed for 3 nights last december. When I checked in the hotel made a debt in my credit card for the 10 nights I was supposed to stay. Due to an emergency I had to leave in the 3rd night. I paid for those nights but the hotel hasnt gave me the deposit back yet. I sent several mails but nobody answer me back. Dont know what else to do
"Best location and service"
My husband and I stayed at Royal Tulip for 2 weeks over Christmas. The hotel location is brilliant - opposite beautiful Sao Conrado beach - the views are breathtaking. Ask for rooms facing golf course , floors 10 and above and ideally a recently renovated room. Watch the sunset from your balcony. You can watch the sunrise from the promenade opposite the hotel. The hotel facilities are very good. The staff are very friendly and they really took care of us - nothing was too much trouble. If you book via the hotels own website, check your website confirmation versus hotel bill as the rates may differ. There is a supermarket, metro and an upmarket shopping mall with Cinema within 10 minutes walk. The only con is that there are not many restaurants nearby so Uber it to Ipanema, Leblon or Copacabana. The hotel restaurant food is good but if vegetarian, not a wide choice. Recommend the set summer menu . Breakfast is super. The beach is friendly, frequented by more locals, less crowded and safer than the popular Copacabana. If you fancy hang / para gliding, the place that does it is a lovely 20 minute promenade walk from the hotel. If you do organised day trips, be prepared for some of them to ask you to make your way to a pickup point in nearby Leblon. They do all drop you off at hotel though.
This hotel is one of the best places to stay in Rio! The service is amazing, the rooms and the view, uau... incredible! I definitely recommend it for those who are coming to Rio! It is 10 min far from Leblon ( neighborhood that I love, full of good restaurants) and 10 min from Barra da Tijuca. There is also a really good shopping mall near the hotel! Loved staying here
