My girlfriend and I stayed in a duplex suite for 5 nights. This is a very good layout for a hotel suite and the high ceilings are great. This was my 3rd stay at the S31 and as always the concierge staff in particular Totti and Jack went out of their way to look after us. Nothing was too much trouble for those two guys. Good location and terrific service and reasonable room rates.
"Short Bangkok visit"
We stayed here for 3 nights after arriving in Bangkok. Initially overwhelmed by this crazy city, we found sanity at S31! We got a taxi from the airport (which broke down 5 times en route!) and were traumatised by the travel. Check in at S31 was smooth and efficient, the staff were average niceness and moderately helpful. But then I don't stay in a city centre business hotel for the niceness of the staff. Our room was amazing. Suite with everything upstairs. Stairs are a bit treacherous so be warned. Room huge, bed massive and bathroom enormous (although the taps were a bit dodgy). Amenities were everything we could have hoped for. We were in the 16th floor and the views were outrageous! Cue photo opportunity. We had the morning sun so without the aircon blaring all the time the room is like a greenhouse and waking up without aircon made us feel like one of those roast in the bag chickens. The only problem is the aircon is actually really loud. We weren't bothered by the noise of the trains and the street noise really so much as the air con. Breakfast was amazing! Interesting world cuisine with Thai and western and lots of variety, I loved it!! Although there was a song being played on loop quite loud in the dining area and lobby which started getting a bit creepy but we found that meowing along to it helped. The pool area is small and nice, we only really spent a short while in the evening there after a days exploring. It's clean but the lighting makes it a bit of a death trap on the stairs. We had a tour organised by the hotel for a temple dash on our second day. By all accounts from fellow travellers this was a bit of a rip off so it may be worth shopping around for a better deal. We needed some laundry doing which was turned around for us in about 5 hours at a reasonable fee. Not cheap, but not outrageous either. The location is brilliant. Whether you want the tacky sound cowboy or s21 shopping, it's all around the corner. Everything else is a cheap taxi ride. Could not have asked for more. All round a really good experience. I enjoyed it here a lot and would definitely recommend and stay again. It is definitely not the Ritz but it is good value for money.
Nice room with the exception that you need to climb up the stairs. Good View Nice Pool thou limited sun bed The location is inbetween 2 stations thus a bit tricky. If you could catch the free tuk tuk then all is good. I only caught the tuk tuk once during my 4 day stay there.
"Amazing location and great rooms"
Stayed in the junior suit and loved it. Two floor design and amazing views. The breakfast buffet is great. The service was efficient and friendly as well. The hotel location is near perfect, just a few minutes walk from EM Quartier and Emporium malls and BTS.
"Very well located but Noisy"
This hotel is well located between the emporium and Terminal 21 malls The bed is huge and the bedroom is large The breakfast is ok but located in an area without windows The big issue with this hotel is the poor phonic isolation towards outside ( the internal isolation between bedrooms is ok) If you don t invest into earplugs forget your night with the sky train and the crowded noisy streets. Looking at the windows they don t have the proper double windows This is a pity for a new hotel
