What a fantastic place to stay. From the moment we were picked up from the airport to our departure. The staff are most welcoming, friendly smiles and nothing is a problem for them. We stayed in a pool villa which was superb, spotlessly clean and had all the amenities one could ask for. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Beach is clean and not crowded. Sala Samui is in an excellent location should you not want to eat at the hotel, you have a choice of restaurants within walking distance. Can highly recommend Sala and will definitely return.
"Lovely holiday at the Sala"
Arrived in Ko Samui after a long journey that started the previous day from Heathrow. Easy pickup from the airport with hotel being less than a 15 minute drive. Greater by smiling, friendly Reception staff, who quickly checked us in, giving us cool towels and a refreshing drink. We had booked via Travelbag, a Garden Balcony Room, which suited our needs. One minor issue was the amount of clothes storage, which is limited to one wardrobe. A chest of draws would have been nice. Apart from that the room was as good as many we have stayed in. Nice touches are; the choice of pillows, lots of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, tea and coffee making facilities, bathrobes and slippers. Both pools were extremely clean, the black pool is for adults only. Large beach towels are available and the restaurant team bring water around to you all day long. Restaurant was well staffed and the breakfasts are extensive in their offering. We only ate dinner twice in the Restaurant. This was not because the food was not to our likening but we wanted to see what the local cafe/ restaurants had to offer. One minor point, the hotel puts a 10% service charge and a 7% sales tax on your bill, something the local cafe's don't do. The hotel puts on events most evening and have themed nights in the Restaurant. Would we return, yes as there is nothing to dislike about this lovely resort and the staff are great.
"A true paradise"
There is NOTHING I Can put my finger on, that this hotel would need to work at!!! Perfect room with private pool, plenty of cleaning. Nice serene surroundings, two wonderfull big pools, wonderfull food, affordable too, staff that pampered us 24/7, and who were all so friendly and helpfull. Beach is kept clean, with nice deckchairs and plenty of parasols. Even the massages we got at the spa, beats every massage we have ever had, anywhere else in the world. It was a true bliss from the moment we arrived, till we left 11 days later. I would recommend this wonderfull place to anyone that needs to relax and live in paradise for a couple of days.
"Amazing Resort, Great Service, Would Stay Here Again"
My fiance and I stayed at Sala Samui for four nights over our honeymoon. I couldn't say enough positive things about this hotel. The ambience of the hotel was amazing - they have great pools, they're right on the beach, and the food at the restaurant was phenomenal. We were planning on venturing off for dinner 1-2 nights, but we stayed at the hotel for each meal. They offer a lot of different options - dining on the beach, Thai night, etc so each night was different. The second part of our honeymoon we had booked a different hotel; we were both so sad we did and didn't want to leave Sala. The service was so great and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would 100% recommend this hotel.
My wife and I recently spent 11 wonderful days at this beautiful resort, and both agreed that this was our best holiday ever. We stayed in a balcony suite, which is the smallest room option available, but was more than adequate for us. In fact, having a balcony almost as big as the bedroom seemed a much better option than the villas, which seemed quite enclosed, being surrounded by tall walls. It certainly didn't bother us to not have a plunge pool outside our door, after all, the hotel pools were amazing and the ocean was a few steps away. Check-in was friendly and efficient, as was the introduction to our room. The hotel grounds were immaculately kept, by an army of happy and polite ground staff who greeted us every time we saw them. Their smiles were infectious. The breakfast service was fabulous, with freshly cooked choices every day as well as a very well stocked buffet. The waiting staff were courteous, polite and seemed genuinely concerned that we were enjoying our stay. The pool area was pretty, and well equipped with loungers and beds without being overcrowded. The beach area was simply stunning, and again, not overcrowded like some of the other hotels along the beach. The staff serving the pool and beach area were exceptional. It wouldn't be fair to single anyone out, they were all so attentive. As for Choeng Mon, it's a lovely, typical small Thai resort town. There are a several good bars, a sprinkling of very good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel, and the bigger towns of Chaweng and Bophut are a 15 minute taxi ride away. Bophut's Fisherman's Village has several very good restaurants and bars. Chaweng is a bit full on for our tastes. So, back to SALA Samui... what a stunning experience. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so memorable.
